Former Valparaiso basketball coach Homer Drew and his wife both have cancer, the school announced. Drew, who resigned in May, and his wife, Janet, both have an undisclosed form of the illness. Drew, 67, coached Valparaiso from 1988 until last season, save for the 2002-03 campaign, when he retired and handed the job to son Scott, who left after that season to become coach at Baylor.
