The We Believe vs. Dub charity basketball game, hosted by Matt Barnes, confirmed the roster of players scheduled to play on November 5th at the Event Center in San Jose. For Ike Diogu, it all happened so fast. The forward, out of the NBA since the 2008-09 season after a left knee injury that required microfracture surgery, had just finished one of his two daily workouts at a South Bay health club, gearing up for a move to play basketball in China beginning shortly after Christmas. Then his agent called. "He was like, you wouldn't believe this if I tell you this, but the Clippers have an interest in you. They want to bring you in for a workout," Diogu said, recalling the Dec. 21 phone call. "I was like, OK, what time? And he said 2 o'clock, and I looked at the clock, and it was 12:43. "The opportunity came out of nowhere," Diogu said. "It was getting to the point where I was probably going to have to go overseas and come back next season.
