The Utah Jazz announced the team has signed forward Jack Cooley (Idaho Stampede, the Jazz’s exclusive NBA Development League affiliate) and guard Bryce Cotton (Austin Spurs) to 10-day contracts. Respectively, Cotton and Cooley become the NBA’s 38th and 39th overall NBA D-League Call-Ups of the 2014-15 season and the 28th and 29th different players to be called up. Per team policy, financial terms were not released. Following the moves, the Jazz roster now stands at 15 players. NBA.com

The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has signed free-agent forward Jack Cooley. Per team policy, financial terms were not released. Cooley (6-9, 246, Notre Dame) played for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Basketball League during the 2013-14 season, averaging 12.6 points and 6.9 rebounds in 22.9 minutes in 28 games (19 starts). Former Notre Dame power forward Jack Cooley will play for two different teams in the NBA's two summer leagues this month. An undrafted free agent in 2013 who played professionally last season in Turkey, Cooley will be a member of the Memphis Grizzlies in the upcoming Orlando (Fla.) Summer League. Later this month, he will join the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Las Vegas Summer League. South Bend Tribune

The workouts are over. It’s time for Memphis to figure out its immediate future before Thursday’s NBA Draft. The Grizzlies held their sixth and seventh -- and final -- pre-draft workouts Monday morning. Nine players worked out in front of director of player personnel and basketball development Stu Lash, GM Chris Wallace and CEO Jason Levien. The group included Jordan Aboudou (France), Vander Blue (Marquette), Jackie Carmichael (Illinois State), Joffrey Lauvergne (France), Janis Timma (Latvia), Adonis Thomas (Memphis), Mitchell Anderson, Jr. (Arkansas Pine Bluff), Jack Cooley (Notre Dame) and Arsalan Kazemi (Iran). Heading into the NBA Draft on June 27, Schroeder is one of the top point-guard prospects available. Along with Louisville point guard Peyton Siva, Pitt center Steven Adams, Notre Dame forward Jack Cooley, North Carolina State forward Richard Howell and Miami forward Kenny Kadji, he worked out for the Utah Jazz on Friday.
