OS: Is his job safe for this season? Rob Hennigan: Look, we’re clearly in a rut and we need to find our way out of it together. The buck starts and stops with me. I’m responsible for the team and its performance, plain and simple. I’m constantly evaluating myself and ways in which I can do a better job for our team, and that will continue to be the case, and I’ll continue to make sure I’m evaluating every inch of the organization. It’s my job to make sure that we’re constantly evaluating every aspect of the organization from top to bottom. So, to your question, I’d say that everyone and everything is being evaluated right now. I wouldn’t be doing my job if that weren’t the case. I’ll also say that there’s not one isolated problem or issue and that we need to collectively be part of generating the solution. Vaughn said he's not worried about his job security, and it helps him that he learned as a player to avoid social-media chatter and unsubstantiated speculation about potential moves. "I really don't read it," Vaughn said after the Magic lost their sixth consecutive game Saturday night, extending its longest losing streak of the season. "I'm not on social media. And the great thing is I do my job as hard as I can every single day, and I'll always keep it that way. I keep it that simple. I don't complicate it. What I do know is, since Day One, since I accepted this job, everything I've done has been for this organization and it'll continue to be that way." Orlando Sentinel

The Orlando Magic have won five of their last eight games, but Jacque Vaughn isn’t singing his team’s praises just yet. “It’s a long season, and this thing’s a process,” Vaughn said before his team held its shootaround this morning at the Amway Center. “We haven’t done a thing yet. We’ve played 12 games, and I still have a guy named Kyle O’Quinn that I haven’t seen in awhile, so we’re still learning each other.” Orlando Sentinel

What do you expect from Aaron Gordon? Jacque Vaughn: He's a great addition to the culture that we have. We're really about having unselfish guys. He's a defensive-minded guy, who has a great athletic ability. He'll grow on the offensive end of the floor. He's a guy who will come to work every day and that's what we're looking for. HoopsHype

Orlando Magic coach Jacque Vaughn is in Granada to see Evan Fournier (whom the Magic got in the Arron Afflalo trade in June) play. But Fournier was the 11th guy to get in the game for France, entering with 3:06 to go in the first half. He went scoreless with two turnovers in just 8:25 of action. NBA.com

When asked how his players remain motivated despite constant losing, Vaughn said, “The good thing is twice a month they receive something in their bank account and they’re professionals and the good thing is I’ll continue to push them. These guys want to be coached. And they want to be pushed to greatness and that’s what you tap into, and that’s what you push them toward each single day.” The consensus is the Magic won’t be down much longer. Harris, Harkless, Nikola Vucevic, and the splendid Victor Oladipo are all 23 or under, and the Magic are likely to select in the top five of this year’s fruitful draft. Boston Globe

"He's the most efficient guy in the game right now," coach Jacque Vaughn said. "He gets the shots that he wants throughout the course of the game, and that's pretty tough to even concede even one possession throughout the course of the game. I think his post-up game is growing also, but he has an innate ability to pass the basketball, and he takes pride in not turning the ball over. "Pretty impressive." Orlando Sentinel

But that’s a need on a Nets team that already has scorers such as Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce. Collins is the kind of guy who will throw his body around to create space for his teammates or helpstop his opponents, always valuable and appreciated traits. “Jason was one of the best teammates I ever had. When you talk about being a good teammate, it’s being prepared and doing your job every night, being able to be counted on. That’s a good teammate,” said Orlando coach Jacque Vaughn, who played with Collins on the Nets. Washington Times

The possibility of a trade and the false rumors that spread so easily over social media can create angst for even the most wily veteran. But coach Jacque Vaughn hasn’t mentioned one word about the deadline to any of his Orlando Magic players, who lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-93 on Wednesday night. “I’ll always be that way,” Vaughn said. “I’ll tell the guys the most important thing about today is you’ve got a game. It’s today’s game. And, for me, there’s no need to mention it. If it comes, it goes. Then we’ll deal with any ramifications if there are any.” Orlando Sentinel

Any Jacque Vaughn critics should know this up front: The Magic plan to keep him as their coach for a long, long time despite all the losing. "He's our coach. That's how I see him," Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan said. "I believe in him." Orlando Sentinel
