Nelson suffered the injury as he drove against Darren Collison with 4:49 left in the game and suddenly attempted to stop quickly. Nelson crumbled to the floor, and Collison forced a jump ball. Nelson didn’t return to the game. “I still have to do the evaluations,” he said afterward. “I think it should be OK just by the way it’s feeling. I don’t want to make an assessment on it right now without getting fully evaluated by the doctors and getting all the MRIs and all that stuff I have to get probably. Davis, who was in the midst of his finest season as a pro, was likely lost for the rest of the season when he fractured his left foot early in the game. The team found out about the news of the crippling injury midway through Wednesday’s game, sapping the life out of the squad. ``Injuries are a part of it and unfortunately it happened to (Davis),’’ said Nelson, a fellow co-captain. ``I just wish him the best. Jameer Nelson participated in the Orlando Magic’s shootaround today, and coach Jacque Vaughn and Nelson expect Nelson to start against the Chicago Bulls tonight at Amway Center.
