A source with direct knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the Lakers will receive Howard, the Denver Nuggets will get Andre Iguodala, the 76ers will get Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams. In addition, the Magic will be getting other pieces, including 76ers No. 1 draft pick Moe Harkless, a source told Stein. ESPN.com Marc Stein: Sources tell ESPN trade also calls for Sixers to get Jason Richardson with Bynum, with Iguodala to Denver & Dwight, obviously, to Lakerland Twitter The Nuggets are very fond of Afflalo, but Iguodala could be viewed as an upgrade. The Magic would view the Denver guard as a future building block while Gasol is either a piece they can hold onto or turn around in another deal. For the numbers to work, Orlando would have to move another player, expected to be Jason Richardson, who would re-route to either the Lakers or Nuggets. Should the Rocket miss out on both Howard and Bynum, they may have interest in Gasol. While they may not give up as much to the Magic, Orlando could be looking at a solid return in a subsequent Gasol trade to Houston. HoopsWorld Jason Richardson: Never get too attached to anyone because attachments leads to expectations and expectations lead to disappointments. -Unknown Twitter Adrian Wojnarowski: Orlando's Jason Richardson has been significant name in 4-way talks too, sources tell Y! There's a scenario where he goes with Howard to LA. Twitter Josh Robbins: I think Jason Richardson would welcome a trade to Denver. His prime offseason home is there, I believe. Twitter ![]() A source close to the situation confirms @wojyahoonba report that Orlando is in talks with Philly, Lakers and Denver. Reported framework of deal that is being discussed but not imminent had Dwight Howard and Al Harrington heading to the Lakers, Andrew Bynum to the Sixers, and Pau Gasol and Arron Afflalo to the Magic along with cap relief (Jason Richardson heading somewhere likely) and draft picks. The Times' Mike Bresnahan, among others, has reported the Lakers are part of this pursuit too, showing some openness toward acquiring Jason Richardson's contract if it results in Superman coming to L.A. But one prominent former Laker, "Big Game" James Worthy, argues that the Purple and Gold shouldn't waste their time. "I like Andrew Bynum," Worthy said recently at an appearance at Bell Gardens Intermediate School, sponsored by After School All-Stars Los Angeles and Metro PCS. "He's young and just as good as Dwight right now. He's getting better. Dwight ... to me, he's too much gab and too much talking. I'm old school. I want to see something done on the floor. He does all this media stuff, flip-flopping. You don't get respect from veteran players when you do that kind of stuff. They just want you to play. They want to see what you can do out there." Sources told ESPN.com that the Rockets, should they go ahead with their widely reported plans to release starting power forward Luis Scola via the NBA's amnesty clause, are prepared to absorb the contracts of Jason Richardson, Glen Davis and Chris Duhon -- in addition to sending Orlando multiple future first-round picks and recent draftees -- to give the Magic an opportunity to wipe their payroll virtually clean for their post-Howard rebuilding effort. ESPN.com Then there's Thursday, when the Rockets social media people got in on the fun. Notice four of the team's most recent follows: That's Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon, Glen Davis and, of course, Dwight Howard -- all from the Orlando Magic. All were followed by the Rockets' Twitter account suddenly. SB Nation |

![]() The Lakers pulled off an extraordinary trade last week. Can they do it again this week? They found themselves back in negotiations Tuesday for Dwight Howard after a multi-team deal collapsed that would have sent the unhappy Orlando Magic center to the Brooklyn Nets. In a key development, the Lakers are slowly becoming more open to taking back a fairly bad contract, the one for Orlando swingman Jason Richardson, though they still might need to involve a third team to acquire Howard. "They're still trying," said a person familiar with the talks who was not publicly authorized to speak. Los Angeles Times |

The tentacles of the proposed deal stretched across more than 10 players and three teams on Monday, with the Nets recruiting a fourth team to take on guard MarShon Brooks in exchange for an additional draft pick to send to Orlando. Nevertheless, multiple complexities need to be resolved to complete the deal, including the negotiation of contracts for four of the players in the proposed trade: Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, Damion James and Shelden Williams. In the proposed deal, Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark would be sent to Brooklyn, and the Magic would receive the Nets' Lopez, James, Williams and Armon Johnson, Cleveland's Luke Walton and three future first-round picks, sources said. Cleveland would receive Orlando's Quentin Richardson, Brooklyn's Sundiata Gaines, Humphries (on a one-year guaranteed deal), a first-round pick and $3 million from the Nets. Brooklyn also is in talks with the Los Angeles Clippers to exchange Brooks for an additional first-round pick to send to the Magic. If the Clippers decline to participate, other teams are in position to take on Brooks, sources said. Yahoo! Sports ![]() Adrian Wojnarowski: In proposed blockbuster, Orlando would send Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark to Brooklyn, sources tell Y! Sports. Twitter The Orlando Magic have intensified discussions about trading Dwight Howard, and the Brooklyn Nets are rapidly overtaking the Los Angeles Lakers as the strongest contender to land the disenchanted All-Star center, league sources told Yahoo! The Lakers currently have no desire to take back additional salary in a trade for Howard. The Magic wants any trade partner to absorb small forward Hedo Turkoglu (two more years, $23.8 million) or shooting guard Jason Richardson (three more years, $18.6 million). Turkoglu is 33 years old. Richardson is 31. Los Angeles Times |
