![]() Jeremy Lin thought he was doing the right, veteran thing. He called Scott Machado to say goodbye and good luck. The only problem was that he called the wrong rookie. Machado had been nervously awaiting word on whether he had made the Rockets’ roster. As Lin wished him well, his heart skipped a few beats until he realized he did not need to worry. Lin had thought he called Jeremy Lamb, who had just been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. By Monday, Machado knew made the team when no one called. “I was like, ‘Hey, it’s Scott, it’s not Jeremy,’ ” Machado said of his conversation with Lin. “’Did you hear something about me?’ I was all nervous. He was like, “Oh, I apologize, I apologize.’ It all worked out.” Houston Chronicle |

Will the Bucks use the No. 12 pick in Thursday's draft to get that young, athletic shooting guard to complement Ellis and point guard Brandon Jennings? It's certainly possible. The seriousness of the Bucks' search was revealed Tuesday as two of the elite shooting guard prospects visited the Cousins Center - Washington sophomore Terrence Ross and Connecticut sophomore Jeremy Lamb Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

If they keep the pick, they really need help at center, point guard and small forward. Although Rivers doesn't fill any of those positions, I'm told the Hornets have been enamored with him. Tyler Zeller, Jeremy Lamb and Moe Harkless are other possibilities here. ESPN.com However, Lamb went into Phoenix this weekend and toughed out a workout on the bad ankle. A source in Phoenix told me the Suns were impressed with his toughness and willingness to fight through the workout. His performance there could keep him in the lottery. If Lamb is gone, Terrence Ross, Dion Waiters and Austin Rivers are all possibilities here. So is Arnett Moultrie. ESPN.com ![]() Brett Pollakoff: Based on Suns GM Lance Blanks' reaction to Jeremy Lamb ?s today, wouldn't be surprised if PHX drafts him if he's on the board at 13. Twitter |

![]() Jeremy Lamd on UConn center Andre Drummond: "It depends on if he wants to work. He's a great athlete. He can jump. He can block shots. He can rebound. I always say, it's funny, we will have an early practice at like 8 AM, and everyone is trying to get warmed up and stuff. He'll just come out and do a windmill to warm up. His bounce is amazing. I believe he's going to work hard, develop post moves, I think he can be a great pro." Blazers Edge If Jeremy Lamb doesn't go 8 to Toronto as some expect, there are rumors that he could really slide on draft night. Teams apparently are more than just a little bit worried about his shoulder, which David Aldridge first reported on. The injury that doctors have flagged is to his right shooting shoulder and there is concern that it could recur during his career. One team we spoke with said they felt he could slide right out of the lottery and into the teens. We consider Lamb to be the SG prospect with the most long term potential. But this shoulder injury combined with his ankle injury and inability to work out for teams before today (Portland) could cost him on draft night. NBADraft.net ![]() On Monday, the Trail Blazers held what might be their final workout ahead of Thursday's draft. They brought in four players, one of whom is in Portland's draft range: Jeremy Lamb. Oregonian (Jeremy Lamb) was supposed to work out earlier for Blazers, but he sprained his ankle at a workout in Toronto. "I've been working months and months, and to get a sprained ankle at this time, it was frustrating," he said Monday Oregonian |

(Toronto) was believed to have narrowed its list to a handful of players expected to be around at No. 8 next Thursday — Weber State point guard Damian Lillard, Connecticut guard Jeremy Lamb and Syracuse guard Dion Waiters — but another name appears to have entered the conversation. Multiple team sources told the Sun that they were impressed with North Carolina power forward John Henson’s workout at the ACC on Thursday. Toronto Sun |

Cavs like Lamb. I hear the Kings like Lillard ... but unlikely for both. I think they're draft range starts at No. 6 unless a team trades up ahead of that. ESPN.com |

UConn shooting guard Jeremy Lamb remains in the running as a top-10 pick, but his workout with Toronto (No. 8) on Thursday hardly helped his case. Sources said Lamb turned his ankle minutes into the session, and he was expected to cancel a scheduled workout with Portland (Nos. 6 and 11) for Friday. Though the injury is not considered serious, the predraft workout phase is obviously not a good time to be dealing with a weak ankle. SI.com |

![]() 2012 NBA Draft prospect Jeremy Lamb was in Toronto on Thursday to workout for the Toronto Raptors, but rolled his ankle very early on and was not able to complete the session. “Jeremy Lamb went down early in the process, so you have to make do,” said Raptors Executive VP Ed Stefanski. “This is a process, we have done work all year long. This is to get to meet the kid, take him out and have a meal with him and see what he is like, but you would rather have the guys healthy as they are going one-on-one against each other.” HoopsWorld |
