Another 7-footer is on the way. Jerome Jordan, a 2010 second-round pick, was involved in contract negotiations yesterday to bring him to the Knicks, according to his agent, Todd Ramasar. Last night, Jordan hopped on a plane from Europe bound for New York. Jordan spent the lockout playing in Slovenia but signed an opt-out clause for when the lockout ended. There was also a small buyout in the Slovenia deal. It appears Jordan can’t sign a pact until all the other moves are in place, the same boat Mike Bibby finds himself in. “We like Jerome, who’s getting experience in Europe,’’ Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni said. “If he does [sign], it’s another piece you’re trying to develop. It’s not someone I can say, ‘We can plug him in right here.’ ’’ New York Post

The Knicks’ interest in Ajinca appears to have given them pause to offering their second-rounder Jerome Jordan a contract. Jordan, a low-post center unlike Ajinca, is in Slovenia but wants a trade if he is not invited to training camp Friday and offered a deal. New York Post

Though the Knicks drafted Kentucky 6-foot-9 center Josh Harrellson, sources indicated they probably will get a look at their 2010 second-rounder, 7-footer Jerome Jordan, who is playing in Slovenia with an opt-out clause. The agent for Jordan, Todd Ramasar, told The Post Sunday he would demand a trade if Jordan isn’t invited to camp. New York Post

The agent for rookie center Jerome Jordan said he would request a trade if the Knicks decide not to sign him or bring him to training camp, which begins Dec. 9. With the lockout soon to be officially over, perhaps in a week, Knicks brass will game plan today regarding training-camp invitees and free agency, and one issue that will arise is what to do with the 7-footer who’s playing in Slovenia and has an opt-out clause in his contract there. New York Post

“Anything is possible,’’ Jordan’s agent, Todd Ramasar, told The Post. “Our expectation is he will be on the Knicks roster or any NBA roster.’’ New York Post

Rookie center Jerome Jordan became the first Knick to officially hit Europe to play basketball because of the lockout. With all the rhetoric from Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony about playing overseas ball, the 7-foot Jordan landed in Slovenia Tuesday and participated in his first day of training camp for Krka yesterday. Jordan has an out clause to return to the Knicks if the lockout ever ends. The Adriatic League season begins in late September with exhibitions starting in two weeks. As The Post reported, Jordan agreed to terms a month ago, but the deal was nearly scrapped because of a dispute over various housing perks. New York Post
