The Phoenix Suns today announced a series of moves within the team’s basketball operations department. Pat Connelly has been named to the role of Assistant General Manager and Trevor Bukstein has been promoted to Assistant General Manager. Ronnie Lester has been named a scout and Emilio Kovacic has been named International Scouting Consultant. The Phoenix Suns named 30-year basketball veteran John Treloar the club’s director of player personnel. In his new role, Treloar will assist President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby and General Manager Lance Blanks in all personnel decisions and will lead the club’s draft scouting process. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for John and his knowledge of the game,” said Blanks. “His longstanding track record of consistency and success are admirable. John Treloar's stint with the Erie BayHawks might be coming to an end. Treloar, 53, has been contacted by National Basketball Association teams, according to two sources close to the situation. Treloar, who headed up a free-agent tryout for the BayHawks this past weekend at Family First Sports Park, has a 48-52 coaching record with the NBA Development League franchise. GoErie.com
John Treloar might have finished his career as a coach for the Erie BayHawks in the D-League. According to various sources, teams from NBA may be interested in him as a head coach.
