If the league clears Sanders and says he is in compliance, then he will go back on the Bucks roster and another player would have to be released. But that does not mean Sanders would immediately return to the court. Point guard Jorge Gutierrez was signed to a 10-day contract on Jan. 28 and was able to fill Sanders' roster spot because Sanders already had served five games of the 10-game suspension. Friday is the final day of Gutierrez's 10-day deal. "We understand this is Jorge's 10th day," Bucks coach Jason Kidd said following the team shootaround Friday morning. "We'll go back and evaluate and see if we can do another 10-day. "There's a lot of things that have to take place before that, but we'll see." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

The Nets and 76ers made the Andrei Kirilenko trade official Thursday, with Brooklyn agreeing to send Kirilenko, Jorge Gutierrez their 2020 second-round pick, the right to swap 2018 second-round picks and cash considerations to Philadelphia for forward Brandon Davies. One wrinkle to the trade is the swap of second-round picks will give the Nets the lower pick between theirs and the Cavaliers, who already sent Philadelphia their second-round pick that year as part of a trade this summer. The Nets also created a pair of trade exceptions — one worth $3.4 million, the other worth $916,000 — as part of the deal. New York Post

Jorge Gutierrez will likely be pitted against Marquis Teague in a competition for the limited minutes behind Deron Williams and Jarrett Jack. At this point, Teague is more likely to stay on the roster. He'll cost the Nets $3 million if he is waived. Hollins also reportedly sees potential in Teague's speed and quickness and might want to keep the 21-year-old around and develop him. Gutierrez could be cut because he has a tiny guarantee, at $25,000, and will get it only if he is still on the roster on September 26, the opening day of training camp. He was battling a shoulder injury throughout the FIBA World Cup. NetsDaily
