HoopsHype Josep Franch rumors
UCAM Murcia point guard Josep Franch entered the draft this year and at the end he went undrafted. And he's happy. "My goal was to not get selected, that's why I entered the draft this year and not the next one. Now I'm free to sign with any franchise in the future." TuBasket.com
So the only players we're really looking at are the international players who are younger than 22 years old. This year 17 international players declared early for the 2012 NBA draft. As of Sunday night, only one international player, Turkey's Furkan Aldemir, was confirmed to be staying in the draft. Aldemir is a likely second-round selection. Sources say that France's Evan Fournier is also very likely to stay in the draft, as well. Fournier is projected to be a mid to late first-round pick. A few others including Tomas Satoransky, Josep Franch and Tornike Shengelia might also stay. However, at this point, they don't look like they have a serious shot at the first round. ESPN.com
As reported by Jonathan Givony, Josep Franch will make himself eligible for the 2012 NBA Draft. The Spanish player born in 1991 is with UCAM Murcia with whom he averages 8.1ppg and 2.4apg in ACB. Sportando
Josep Franch has a little bit of Jose Calderon to him. He doesn't blow you away with any aspect of his game and may ultimately go undrafted. But he appears to be a guy that could steadily improve his game over time to the point where he could get NBA looks at 24-25 years of age. He pushes the ball up the floor well. He has great form on his shot. And he has good size for the PG position. NBADraft.net
