The New Orleans Hornets are working out six players this morning at the Alario Center, one day before the NBA draft. All of the prospects appear to be candidates for the team's second-round selection, the 46th overall pick. The players are forward Justin Hamilton from LSU, guard Quincy Roberts from Grambling, guard-forward Alex Young from IUPUI, center Henry Sims from Georgetown, center Dusan Cantekin, who is from Sebia and forward/center Robert Sacre from Gonzaga. New Orleans Times-Picayune Former LSU center Justin Hamilton hoped he made enough of an impact in the New Orleans Hornets’ pre-draft workout this morning for the franchise to possibly consider selecting him with its 46th overall pick in the second round of Thursday night's draft. New Orleans Times-Picayune ``I’ve been traveling around all over the country getting in a lot of different workouts with a lot of different teams,’’ said Hamilton, who left LSU after his junior season to enter the NBA draft. ``I’ve been hearing that I’ve been working out great, a lot of teams are interested and we’ll see what happens tomorrow. I’m trying to show them my versatility and that I can shoot the ball very well.’’ New Orleans Times-Picayune |
