Adam Johnson: Kalin Lucas called out Jarnell Stokes for lack of defense a few plays before timeout. Then went after him per league source. It wasn't clear what was said exactly between Lucas and Stokes, but the former was not happy with the latter's effort on defense per source. Twitter

Kalin Lucas and Jarnell Stokes are basketball players who ended up fighting each other on Tuesday night. The only problem with that? They're teammates. Lucas and Stokes play for the Iowa Energy, the D-League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies. Something went wrong between them on the bench during their game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, and blows were exchanged. Sporting News

The Memphis Grizzlies waived guard Kalin Lucas, the team announced on Nov. 9. Lucas (6-1, 186) originally was signed on Sept. 25 and averaged 3.1 points and 1.0 assists on .429 shooting in 7.9 minutes in eight preseason games for Memphis before he was waived on Oct. 25. The 25-year-old was re-signed on Nov. 4 and did not appear in any regular season games. Last season, the Michigan State product posted 15.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 29.0 minutes in 29 games (20 starts) for the NBA Development League’s Iowa Energy, now exclusively affiliated with the Grizzlies. Guards Patrick Christopher and Kalin Lucas have reached deals to begin the season with the Chicago Bulls’ D-League affiliate, league sources told RealGM. Christopher and Lucas had been released early in training camp with the Bulls this season, and the organization held their rights in order for both to play for the D-League’s Iowa Energy. RealGM
