The 6-9 forward would be a big boost for any team in the tournament that will feature imports of unlimited height, but Reyes declined to reveal which PBA ballclub she is representing in the negotiations. “The deal is a go if Martin decides on it, his final decision will matter in the end,” she said. Sports Interactive Network Philippines One of Martin's best friends is former Barako Bull import and Reyes client DerMarr Johnson, who the agent said has been bragging about the popularity of basketball in the Philippines, particularly the PBA. “I am very persistent to bring Martin in, I am his fan and I’m sure Pinoy would love it,” concluded Reyes. Martin, 35 today, played last season with the Clippers. He had a somewhat testy relationship with coach Vinny Del Negro, a possible reason he's still unsigned. I spoke with agent Andy Miller earlier this month, and Miller indicated that while Martin was once interested in playing just for a few teams, that position has changed. He also said that the Sixers had not reached out to him. Philadelphia Inquirer "He's got a reputation that's good and bad," said one Sixers player, speaking anonymously. "His attitude has been an issue for him in certain places. But one thing you know is that he's going to play hard all the time, and he's going to bring emotion. I think he'd help us more than he would hurt." Philadelphia Inquirer |

Marc J. Spears: Lakers aren't interested in opening a roster spot to acquire Derek Fisher, Kenyon Martin or any other free agent, a source told Y! Sports. Twitter @SpearsNBAYahoo Do you dream of living in a mega-mansion where giant dolphin fountains spray you with pool water? If so, then NBA star Kenyon Martin has the house for you ... for a cool $5 million. Martin -- who plays for the Los Angeles Clippers -- bought the 15,000-square-foot Arlington, Texas crib back in 2008 for around $3 million. Looking to make a tidy profit, K-Mart recently listed the 5-bedroom, 5-bath Mediterranean pad for almost twice what he paid -- and the house is RIDICULOUS. It sits on 8.4 acres of land and is rockin' a full-sized basketball court ... bowling alley ... gym ... game room ... pond ... pool with 2 huge dolphin fountains ... 2 water slides ... 10 car garage ... white marble floors, white walls ... annnnnnnd a freakin' pecan orchard. Evelyn Lozada has TWO WORDS for outspoken "Basketball Wives" hater Kenyon Martin ... and those words are "THANK YOU." Totally kidding. She said "F**k Him." TMZ.com We broke the story ... Martin -- a 12-year NBA vet -- blasted "BB Wives" recently, saying the show was "toxic" and a total misrepresentation of the lives of married NBA players. But at LAX last night, Evelyn seemed to take offense to Martin's criticism ... telling TMZ, "I don't think Kenyon knows what he's talking about." "As far as saying it's toxic, that's fine ... don't f**kin' watch the show ... it's just as simple as that." TMZ.com |

![]() In a recent conversation with HOOPSWORLD, Karl expressed his surprise that former Nuggets power forward Kenyon Martin has not yet found a team to play with this season. “I don’t think there’s any question that Kenyon Martin is an NBA player,” said Karl. “He can help not only good teams, but also bad teams. Right now I think the trend in the league is to go young. Instead of maybe half the teams thinking they can go young, we have 25 teams in this league thinking about when they go pick up a player they’re going to go young. And then there are those four or five teams. “I think an opportunity will come to Kenyon. Someone will have an injury or have a situation that will fit Kenyon. I think Kenyon will also be hungry and ready for it. I think Kenyon understands where he is in his career. HoopsWorld “Does he have to make a little step towards management and being a better teammate? Probably. But in the same sense, he knows what’s going on. He’s a very smart player, a bright player and one of the more dominating defenders I’ve ever coached.” HoopsWorld Agent Andy Miller, who also represents Celtics center Kevin Garnett, said he has not had a conversation about Martin with Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge since July. The Celtics are believed to be seeking a rebounding big man. Coach Doc Rivers called the team “soft” last week; they have been outrebounded in all but four of 17 games this season. Boston Globe Martin, 34, last played with the Los Angeles Clippers, and had a difficult relationship with coach Vinny Del Negro. That may have something to do with him remaining unsigned. “At this stage, I think Kenyon’s perspective is more of if people are questioning certain aspects of my game or me personally that I just want an opportunity to show that all of these critics and naysayers are wrong. We’ve widened the net of this and had discussions on that level. “Be that as it may, we’ve had absolutely no conversations with the Celtics. They’ve not reached out at all. If there with issues with concerns regarding his commitment as far as how focused and how passionate he is about playing and competing with his team, quite frankly, my phone is working.” Boston Globe |

![]() The Celtics are going to be patient filling their roster because there is not a plethora of quality big men on the market to help immediately with rebounding. They are wary of the attitude and disposition of Kenyon Martin, who was not asked back to the Clippers because of his unhappiness with coach Vinny Del Negro. They may wait to see who’s available as of Jan. 5, when contracts become fully guaranteed for the season. Boston Globe |

The Celtics have an open roster spot and Ainge said a big man is a more pressing need than backup point guard. He would not comment on whether the club has had discussions with free agent forward Kenyon Martin, considered the best available rebounder. “There’s some thoughts but there’s nothing imminent,” Ainge said of adding a player. “You’ve got to score and you’ve got to stop, it doesn’t matter what plays you run. It doesn’t matter if your playbook’s five [plays] or your playbook’s 500. We need to get stops and rebound the ball is what we need to do.” Boston Globe |

When Kenyon Martin initiated a revolt against coach Vinny Del Negro last season, Billups was instrumental in quieting it. I would imagine he'll be key in convincing CP3 to stay beyond this year as well, although Paul will no doubt be very conscious of the fact that Billups' playing career is nearly over. LAC would be well advised to keep him on in some capacity to help persuade CP3 they plan to continue moving in the right direction. Sulia |

Boston is 30th in rebounding and could use a boost. Kenyon Martin, the much-traveled No. 1 overall pick in 2000, is a free agent and hasn’t bolted for China or other opportunities like some of his aging brethren. Ainge signed Milicic and Jason Collins to add depth at center but neither is playing and that means Rivers doesn’t think they will be productive. If a roster spot opens, the Celtics should take a serious look at Martin. Boston Globe |

![]() According to a league source, Martin's camp reached out to the Wolves a few times, most recently on Monday, but was politely turned down. Bottom-line: the Wolves bypassed Martin in favor of Josh Howard, and the reasoning is simple: their need for a wing far surpasses any other position. You are who you can guard in the NBA and Martin defends bigs. Howard can help out on the perimeter. 1500ESPN.com |

![]() The Wolves turned down the chance to sign free agent power forward Kenyon Martin on Tuesday. Martin is willing to come in for the veteran's minimum. 1500ESPN.com For what it's worth, a source said during Monday's game that Heat have moved to top of Kenyon Martin's wish list.
