Odom and his wife, Khloe Kardashian, filmed part of their reality TV show, Khloe & Lamar, during this past NBA season. Cameras and workers from the show were frequently in the locker room before and after Mavs' games -- even as Odom's game was in a downward spiral. But on Oprah's Next Chapter, which aired Sunday night, Odom said the reality TV show wasn't a distraction and had no effect on his poor performance with the Mavs. "I think this past year I didn't perform on a level that I wanted to perform as far as being a professional basketball player,'' Odom said. "And so I think I have to reprove myself.'' Fort Worth Star-Telegram |

Khloe Kardashian has been benched from her reality TV show. Kardashian and Dallas Mavericks scrub Lamar Odom, who headline “Khloe & Lamar,” are ending their E! series, according to TMZ.com. The duo won’t return for a third season of “Khloe & Lamar,” a spinoff off “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” so Odom can get his struggling NBA career back on track. New York Post |

![]() Charles Barkley says Lamar Odom had a difficult time adjusting to life in Dallas because he was suffering from a divorce. Not a divorce from his reality TV star wife Khloe Kardashian, but a divorce from his former NBA team. During a local radio interview on Wednesday, the NBA on TNT analyst and Hall of Fame player said Odom never reached his potential with the Mavericks because his feelings were still hurt from being traded by the Los Angeles Lakers. "I think he just, like, mentally was like, 'Wow, they don't like me anymore,'" Barkley said on the Galloway and Company show on KESN-FM 103.3 in Dallas. "And I don't think he ever regrouped, or ever recovered." FOXSports SouthWest "You know I love my man Cubes," Barkley said. "I'm surprised it took that long. The D-League thing was, to me, a red flag. But that didn't wake him up. And I've got to tell you something. I always pull for my players. I always pull for the players. But the fact that they've got to pay him, I think is a joke. I mean, because he didn't earn his salary. He didn't earn it at all. "I like Lamar as a person, but I'm disappointed about everything that happened in Dallas. And it's a shame that the Mavs got to pay him, to be honest with you. He don't deserve to get paid for what he put out there this year. He doesn't deserve it, plain and simple. FOXSports SouthWest "I think it's a joke that he's gonna get paid for sitting at home for the next few months," Barkley continued. "In the NBA, we get paid every two weeks. So, Lamar's making close to $10 million a year. So, he's probably going to miss two paychecks. He's probably making $300,000 to $400,000 every two weeks. So, to sit at home and make that type of money just really pisses me off, to be honest with you, for the effort he put out there. "He's going to make hundreds of thousands of dollars his next two paychecks that he looks like he's going to miss, and that's not fair to the Mavs, it's not fair to the game of basketball and I'm just disappointed in Lamar." ![]() Drama may make for good reality television, but Lamar Odom’s emotions were too much for the Dallas Mavericks’ top brass. The Mavericks yesterday bounced Khloe Kardashian husband Odom — who arrived from the Los Angeles Lakers in December — after four months of poor performance, family drama and off-court antics that left the team’s management fed up. He’s been put on the inactive list until after the playoffs, after which the Mavs can trade him. “They grew tired of his BS and kicked him to the curb,” an NBA source told Page Six. “[The team] didn’t need someone pouting like a little kid.” New York Post Sources say Queens-born Odom never felt at home in Dallas and grew depressed during his time there. Family woes also plagued Odom, who took a leave of absence in February after his father reportedly fell ill. This came months after he was involved in a New York car accident where his driver hit a motorcyclist, who then struck and killed a 15-year-old pedestrian. New York Post Sources believe the pressure of also playing in front of reality cameras for “Khloe and Lamar” pushed Odom into a slump. “When he wasn’t playing well, it meant he looked bad,” said a source. “And when you have a show about your life, when you are off-court, you have to deal with the producers asking all those questions. He had a horrible summer, but . . . he was more concerned about the cameras and how he looked.” New York Post |

It's the last category, that intangible one, that caused the Mavs' brass to finally stop hoping and believing that Odom could contribute to their repeat quest. Khloe's little Lam Lam will go down as one of the biggest disgraces in Dallas sports history because he wouldn't even do the simplest thing in sports: play hard. "Therein lies the decision," said Nelson, who still went out of his way Monday to offer Odom's personal issues as an excuse. ESPN.com Khloe Kardashian took to Twitter to defend her husband -- Dallas Mavericks forward Lamar Odom. After the Mavs and Odom mutally agreed to part ways Monday, Kardashian tweeted: "U deserve so much better. Know ur worth and know ur skills that have been proven and earned! U showed ur strength. I love u.'' Kardashain also tweeted: "Never a dull moment.'' Fort Worth Star-Telegram |

Just hours after taking to Twitter to defend her husband, Mavericks forward Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian was at it again following the Mavs' 97-92 loss to the New Orleans Hornets. "I love how people can 'report' lies and BS & slander some1's name... Then when the truth comes out no one owns up to 'reporting' the rumors they so carelessly spread," Kardashian wrote on her Twitter account. Though she never mentions Odom by name, Kardashian's comments seemed targeted toward her husband's critics. Dallas Morning News |

Khloe Kardashian-Odom was a guest on Conan O'Brien's television show Wednesday night and discussed her thoughts on going to strip clubs with and without her husband. "I like strip clubs. I don’t mind it. I don’t go like every Tuesday for a lunch, it’s not that," she said. "Lamar and I, we enjoy it. It’s fun." Kardashian-Odom also admitted that Lamar is allowed to go without her. "Recently he went with some of his teammates and he asked, 'Do you mind if I go to a strip club, tonight?' I was like, 'Sure, go.' It’s like male bonding, why do I care," she said. "We have a very trustworthy relationship. Lamar’s a 6-10 man, he knows people are going to notice what he’s doing. He’s on his best behavior." Dallas Morning News |

Mrs. Jenner, mother to Khloe Kardashian, the wife of Mavs forward and former Lakers star Lamar Odom -- who hugged his mother-in-law in front of a semi-circle of cameras in the court-level concourse of the Staples Center (no word if she also hugged ex-son-in-law Kris Humphries, whose New Jersey Nets played in the matinee Monday against the Clippers) -- walked up to Cuban, flashed a smile and said she wanted to introduce herself. Check out an upcoming episode of "Keeping up with the Kardashians," as the lights were on and the cameras were rolling -- not that Cuban seemed to mind all that much. She wanted to thank Cuban for making Lamar feel at home and that when she comes to Dallas to visit the kids, dinner is on her. After the hug to say hello, some chit-chat and a hug good-bye, Kris and the cameras flitted off to somewhere else. ESPN.com |

![]() Left reeling by the July murder of his 24-year-old cousin and a fatal car accident days later that killed a teen pedestrian after the car he was riding in as a passenger collided with a motorcycle, Odom told ESPN.com that he had to be convinced by wife Khloe Kardashian to scrap his plans for a hiatus. "Real close," Odom said when asked Saturday how close he came to asking the Lakers for a season-long sabbatical. "My wife talked me out of it. ESPN.com |

What could be better than one Kardashian (if you're into that kind of pop culture craze)? Two Kardashians. That exactly what the American Airlines Center got on Wednesday night as both Khloe and her sister, Kim, showed up for the Mavericks-Phoenix Suns game. Khloe, wife of Mavericks forward Lamar Odom, has been a regular at Dallas games this season, of course. Odom played another solid game for the Mavericks, scoring 15 points and adding five rebounds and two steals in Dallas' 98-89 win over the Suns. Dallas Morning News |

Lamar Odom saw the reports out of Los Angeles that said the Lakers thought he was distracted by the reality show in which he co-stars with wife Khloe Kardashian . Odom said he hasn't spoken to Mavericks owner Mark Cuban about whether he'll continue the show. "He seems like the guy that he'll really like it though; he's outgoing and rambunctious," Odom said.
