Missouri junior forwards Laurence Bowers and Kim English will return to school to play for new coach Frank Haith next year. The two starters declared for the NBA draft in early April on the same day the school hired Haith. Not hiring an agent allowed each to gauge their pro potential without losing college eligibility. On the very day Mizzou's prospective new basketball coach, Frank Haith from Miami, was to have his status voted on by the University of Missouri Board of Curators, Mizzou announced that juniors Laurence Bowers and Kim English would test the NBA draft. It was unclear when they made their decision, but neither is bound by the idea. As MU put it in a release, each could retain his eligibility and have the option of returning to Missouri if he does not retain an agent and chooses to remove his name from the draft by the May 8 deadline. "I think for anyone who plays college basketball, having a chance to play in the NBA is a dream," Bowers said, according to the MU statement. "I had a chance to talk with my family and other loved ones and this is something I want to do. This rule is in place to allow guys like us to explore their options and make an informed decision." stltoday.com
