The smart side of me said, 'No, I'm not going to do that. But I'm going to get this boy.' You don't put your hands on me. I can deal with a lot of verbal stuff and wolfing and all that, but you put your hands on me, no. And I thought I had cleaned it up, but obviously I hadn't." When the game ended, Stackhouse recalls asking the training staff for a warm-up suit, then waiting on the docks where Utah's bus would depart. "I ain't even shower," Stackhouse recalls. "I put on some sweats, some sneakers, and I went and stood in the tunnel. As soon as [Snyder] came out, I fired on him. I got in a couple. That was it. I don't know where all these security people came from. It probably lasted 20 seconds. Everybody pulled me off and that was it." Grantland

Late this weekend one of the Halifax Rainmen's newest players, Kirk Snyder, accepted an offer to play professional basketball in China. Today, the Rainmen will send the 6'6 forward to Houston, Texas, where he will begin working with trainers before departing for Asia. Ex-NBA guard/small forward Kirk Snyder played 10 minutes but didn’t score in his Rainmen debut after signing on Saturday. Snyder was convicted of aggravated burglary, felonious assault and assault in April 2009 and was sentenced to three years in prison in May 2010. He is now looking to return to the NBA. metronews.ca

An Ohio judge has sentenced a former NBA player to three years in prison for breaking into his neighbors’ home and attacking them. Warren County Judge Neal Bronson sentenced Kirk Snyder, 26, Wednesday and ordered him to pay $5,550 in restitution. A jury convicted Snyder in April of aggravated burglary, felonious assault and assault in the March 2009 break-in in Deerfield Township north of Cincinnati. Snyder had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity but was later found competent to stand trial. Salt Lake Tribune
