Kris Humphries was in the Wizards’ starting lineup for their preseason opener against the Bulls Monday in place of power forward Nenê, who was given the night off to rest, but he won’t be around for the remainder of the Wizards’ three-game road trip. Humphries left the game with 2 minutes 50 seconds remaining in the second quarter of the Wizards’ 85-81 win at United Center after slicing his right hand on the rim attempting to block a layup. He needed eight stitches for the laceration and has been ruled out for the Wizards’ next two games. “We’ll know more in the morning,” Coach Randy Wittman said. “We’re going to send him back home. He can’t do anything because of those stitches so we’ll send him back home so he’ll get some workouts and conditioning in.” Washington Post
