Detroit Pistons training camp invitees Josh Bostic and Lorenzo Brown could become the first two Grand Rapids Drive roster members if they accept assignments as affiliate players for the new NBA Development League team. The two perimeter players are trying to make a 15-man Pistons final roster in a training camp with 16 players on guaranteed contracts. While that numbers game may prove challenging, Pistons general manager Jeff Bower confirmed the team has discussed with the players' agents the possibility of joining the first-year Drive as affiliate players. The Philadelphia 76ers today announced that they have assigned guard Lorenzo Brown to the Delaware 87ers of the NBA Development League. This marks Brown’s fifth assignment to the Sevens this season. He has appeared in eight D-League games, averaging 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds. He has appeared in 19 games for the Sixers. NBA.com

The 76ers have recalled reserve Lorenzo Brown from the Delaware 87ers, their NBA Development League team on Wednesday. The rookie point guard went down to the 87ers on Tuesday just to play in the 123-114 setback to the Iowa Energy at Bob Carpenter Center. Brown had 22 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds and 7 steals in the game. That was the third time he was sent down to the Sevens this season. Brown has averaged 19 points, and 7 assists in seven D-League games. In 15 appearances with the Sixers, Brown averaged 3.2 points and 1.9 assists and 11.3 minutes of action. Philadelphia Inquirer
