![]() Mbah a Moute confirmed several teams are in discussions with his agent Sam Goldfeder. "My agent has been talking to a few teams, trying to work out something,'' Mbah a Moute said in a telephone interview Wednesday from Los Angeles. "I don't know the exact number, but it's probably about five. "I don't think those five teams are just talking to him to just talk. I'm pretty sure they're talking to him about making me an offer. "It looks pretty promising.'' Racine Journal-Times Bucks center Andrew Bogut recently Tweeted how he hopes the Bucks retain Mbah a Moute. "Free agency can be a little stressful because you never know what the situation is going to be," Mbah a Moute said of his status with the Bucks. " But it's also exciting to be in this position. I've put in the work and have a future where teams can use my service." His work ethic and ability to guard multiple positions make Mbah a Moute more attractive. The Bucks extended a one-year, roughly $1.1 million qualifying offer before the lockout. Other teams can make offers once free agency opens Dec. 9. If Mbah a Moute signs another team's offer sheet, the Bucks have three days to match that offer and retain him. It was seven days under the previous CBA. USA Today The Bucks, who missed the playoffs after an injury-plagued season, want to keep him. "We appreciate Luc and what he's done for us as an organization and what he stands for," Bucks General Manager John Hammond told news reporters Thursday. "We have every intention of bringing Luc back." USA Today |

Bucks player representative Luc Richard Mbah a Moute said Sunday night the settlement agreed to by players and owners early Saturday was "fair enough." Mbah a Moute, a fourth-year forward and restricted free agent, did not offer a full endorsement for the proposal to be voted on by league players. "Guys are mainly happy about going back to work," Mbah a Moute said of the reaction he has received from other players and Bucks teammates. "It's not a great deal for the players, but it's fair enough for us to still work where we can freely move (in free agency) and for the owners to make up for their loss." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel |

![]() Washington Wizards forward JaVale McGee made headlines Friday when he left the Los Angeles meeting early and told reporters, "There's definitely some guys in there saying they're ready to fold." Mbah a Moute strongly disputed that assessment. "McGee was in the meeting probably for 15 minutes," Mbah a Moute said. "There were no guys ready to fold. I don't think you can make an informed comment when you're there 15 minutes and the meeting is 2½ hours long. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Mbah a Moute was one of the 30 or so players who attended a meeting Friday in Los Angeles, where union president Derek Fisher of the Los Angeles Lakers updated them on the negotiations to reach a new collective bargaining agreement. "There are still a whole lot of things that need to be worked out in the system," Mbah a Moute said in an interview Monday. "It's still very different from what we want." Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel But owners have proposed a 53-47 split in their favor while talking of a possible 50-50 split, which the players rejected. "We made a lot of concessions to the owners," Mbah a Moute said. "We went back from 57 to 53, and you're talking about huge money right there.
