Mario Hezonja, FC Barcelona, Spain. He’s just 19 years old and the only undrafted player in this list. The NBA scouts follow him during the last years but he wants to become a leader with Barcelona and then move to the NBA. This summer he’s expected to be selected and probably he will think again his career overseas. This is his first season in the top European level and he has all the skills to make a career in the NBA. EuroHoops.net

Hezonja has shined all season and in particular lately, capitalizing upon the increased minutes, due to the injuries to Navarro and Oleson. In his games played since December, the Croatian Golden Boy has increased his averages (6 ppg in ACB, 10 ppg in Euroleague) playing more than 20 minutes per game. He really raised some eyebrows with his February 1st performance against Manresa in which he hit 8-for-8 from 3 point, finishing with 24 pts and 6 assists. This two month stint has significantly boosted his stock, and he has really enhanced his chances of being a top 10 pick. Consistency is the one obstacle, especially for a team competing for the maximum European goal, but he has earned the chance to show all of his potential. NBADraft.net

“If I was in college I’d probably be the No. 1 pick,” Hezonja said to Basketball Insiders. “I had an offer from Kentucky. I’m European and I need to work harder to break into the U.S market.” Hezonja averages eight points, shooting 44.8 percent from the perimeter, to go along with two rebounds and 1.3 assists in 16.7 minutes over 10 appearances in the Euroleague for Spanish power-club Barcelona. Like his fellow countrymen Saric, Hezonja is focused primarily on his development. He would have been selected in the first round of last year’s deep draft, and even though he’s ranked much higher in this year’s class, he’s still not even certain he will declare. “I don’t know if I’ll enter the draft,” Hezonja said. “I might, but who knows what pick I’ll be? Before I go to the NBA I want to become a leader and win with Barcelona.” Basketball Insiders

Most potential draft entries are still in the meat of the decision-making process when it comes to agents—and those decisions will firm up in the next month or so. Tellem is also in line to represent Mario Hezonja, the 19-year-old Croatian wing who could be a lottery pick. Sporting News

Rising Mario Hezonja 6-7 215 SG/SF FC Barcelona 1995 He has averaged 9.3 ppg in 27 mpg in the last three ACB games, while going for 12.5 ppg in 22.8 mpg in his last four Euroleague contests. He is very difficult to stop in transition, can finish well above the rim and he has shot well from long range. With questions surrounding many of the top wing prospects in this year's draft, his rise in both playing time and production is definitely opportune. He will only be 20-years old at the time of the draft. Hezonja is an exciting athlete who has lottery level talent. He also appears to be very interested in coming over immediately, as his contract with Barcelona will be coming to an end. NBADraft.net

1. Kristaps Porzingis, PF, 7-1, 220 pounds, Spain Cajasol Sevilla, 19: "He is a top-three prospect. He's a Dirk Nowitzki-type but more athletic. He runs the floor, plays above the rim and is a face-up guy. He has a shot at being the No. 1 pick and is definitely in the top three." 2. Emmanuel Mudiay, PG, 6-5, 190 pounds, China Guangdong, 18: "He is a new generation point guard with size, athleticism and speed. … He's not a score-first guard." 3. Mario Hezonja, SG, 6-8, 200 pounds, Spain Barcelona, 19: "A swingman with really good size and strength already at a young age. Good shooter who attacks the rim. Smaller Danilo Gallinari-type who will be a better NBA player than overseas player." Yahoo! Sports

"He's extremely gifted," one Western Conference executive said. "The game comes extremely easy to him. From what I've seen he's always been the most talented player on the court, and it hasn't been close." But it's not a given that Hezonja will even be in the Draft, or taken highly if he enters his name. He has not played big minutes this season for Barcelona, even though that's hardly a crime, given that team's standing in Spain's ACB League, generally considered the best pro league in the world outside of the NBA. But there are also questions about Hezonja's demeanor and willingness to work with teammates. NBA.com

I've gotten a chance to see Mario Hezonja at three different events now in the past couple months (Jordan All American Classic, Final Four juniors in Barcelona and now here). And I will say he is probably the best 2-guard prospect to come out of Europe since Drazen Petrovic. Rudy Fernandez and Marco Belinelli weren't even close to the talent or polished players that he is at 16 years of age. He's certainly the most talented European guard prospect that I have seen in the 10 years I've been doing this. He's playing against kids 3 years older than himself and making it look easy.
