The New Orleans Hornets named Matt Ryan as director of basketball communications, the team announced Tuesday. Ryan joins the Hornets communications team after working with the New Orleans Saints for the past two seasons. In his role with the Hornets, Ryan will oversee many of the daily aspects of the department such as the media guide, credentialing, writing news releases, fulfilling player and staff interview requests both locally and nationally, while maintaining statistical upkeep of player performances.
