With uncertainty in the backcourt, the Chicago Bulls are showing significant interest in Mo Williams and Will Bynum and have started exploratory discussions with the representatives of the free agent guards, league sources told RealGM. RealGM

It’s no surprise then that the Mavs are among several teams to express interest in point guards Jose Calderon and Mo Williams, according to a league source. The Mavs have long been intrigued by Calderon, who they discussed trading for last season. Calderon is also drawing interest from Detroit, Houston, Atlanta and New York among other teams. ESPN.com

The agent for Mo Williams said Saturday that the Utah Jazz point guard never "demanded" a starting role in order to re-sign with with the team that drafted him, as a Yahoo! Sports story reported a day earlier. "Mo and I never have demanded anything," Mark Bartelstein told The Tribune. "We never would demand anything. That story complete mischaracterized the conversation." Salt Lake Tribune

Mo Williams will re-sign as a free agent with the Utah Jazz only if he remains the starting point guard next season, a source told Yahoo! Sports on Friday. The demand comes a day after the Jazz traded up in the draft to get University of Michigan star Trey Burke, who was selected ninth on Thursday night. Mo Williams underwent a successful procedure Wednesday in New York to have two pins removed from his right thumb, the first major step toward a return to the floor for the Jazz point guard. Williams missed his 25th straight game since tearing a ligament in the thumb on Dec. 22 in Miami, and his 29th overall. The Jazz (29-24) are 18-11 without Williams. Salt Lake Tribune
