Metta World Peace has arrived in Sichuan to start the season as a Blue Whale. While most of us have been wondering about his new name change, we have some more news on how he will adding his love for pandas into his games. Former NBA star Metta World Peace (originally known as Ron Artest) expressed his love for the Philippines and for Manny Pacquiao but did not comment on reports that the "Pacman" wants to hire him as an import in the Philippine Basketball Association. It was revealed last week that Pacquiao, now a player-coach aside from being a boxer and a congressman, is thinking of hiring World Peace as the import for KIA during the import-laced conferences in the PBA. Metta World Peace is going to have a new name in China. New high-profile import playing for Chinese basketball Association club Sichuan Blue Whales is known as Ron Artest but intends to change his name to "Panda Friend" in honor of his move to China. World Peace, who is known in China as "Ci Shiping", a literal translation of "Metta World Peace," now plans to name himself after China's giant panda, a precious animal based in Southwest China's Sichuan province, where his new team is also based.
