Sam Amick: For all the focus on what team execs want this time of year, don't forget that 'tis the season for players eyeing greener pastures too. The Phoenix Suns are actively shopping big man Miles Plumlee in advance of the Feb. 19 trade deadline, according to league sources. Sources told ESPN.com ‎that the Suns are working in conjunction with Plumlee's agent, Mark Bartelstein, to try to find a new home for the third-year center, who has seen his playing time steadily dwindle as the season has progressed. The Suns are believed to be seeking at least one future first-round pick for the 26-year-old, who was selected 26th overall by Indiana in ‎the 2012 draft, one year before brother Mason was selected No. 22 overall by Brooklyn in the 2013 draft. ESPN.com

Plumlee played four years under Team USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski at Duke, and he's a Nike guy. These two facts were bound to be mentioned when discussing his surprising selection. After a 114-55 -- not a typo -- win over Finland on Saturday, he addressed the matter. "I'm very proud that I went to Duke and I'm very proud that I wear Nike, and that has nothing to do with it," Plumlee said, via Ball in Europe. "If you were at our practices and our training camp, anybody that was there, they would see why I made the team." CBSSports.com
