Louisville junior forward Montrezl Harrell and sophomore guard Terry Rozier have each decided to leave school early and declare for the NBA draft, Cards coach Rick Pitino said Monday. "They're both leaving, yes, 100 percent," Pitino told reporters. "And it's the right thing to do for both of them. You all may have some doubts about Terry, but I don't." Louisville Courier-Journal

When Harrell hears others talk about his potential NBA draft status, his friends remind him that he could really be more consistent with his jumper, or they'll point out plays he didn't make. "They always bring me back to reality," Harrell said. "And the best thing about them is they never really harp on what good I've done. They harp more on the bad things I've done in a game." ESPN.com

The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NBA Draft is 11 days away, and Louisville fans are waiting on pins and needles for sophomore forward Montrezl Harrell's final decision. Don't hold your breath. Sources indicate that Harrell won't have a decision until next week, and he's likely to leave. That would leave Louisville with a few options to fill Harrell's leftover scholarship, and coach Rick Pitino's recent recruiting activities imply the Cardinals probably have their eye on a few replacement options. Pitino also mentioned the possibility of a fifth-year transfer in his end-of-season press conference earlier this week. Louisville Courier-Journal

Dime: Montrezl Harrell and Russ Smith are both projected to go in the first round of the NBA Draft this year. What do you expect in the future from your two former teammates? Peyton Siva: I definitely think they’ll both make it. As per account of whoever I think they both have a legitimate shot to make it the NBA and have a great career. They are both great players and they’re proven winners. They are back-to-back champions in their conference and they both won a National Championship. I think they will have great careers wherever they end up, whatever round they end up going. Dime
