Nando De Colo, CSKA guard: I’m very pleased and proud to join such a famous club as CSKA with all its history. After the discussions I had with the coach and the President, it seemed obvious to me that I had to be part of this sport project. I will do all my best to help achieving CSKA’s goals. cskabasket.com

Nando De Colo’s priority is to stay in the NBA, the Toronto Raptors are thinking about resigning their free agent, however there’s a nice back up plan for him if things don’t work out. He can return to Europe and some of the continent’s top clubs interested on him. According to Eurohoops sources, Barcelona, Fenerbahce/ Ulker and also Anadolu Efes are among the teams which are willing to make a run to get him. After all, De Colo has some impressive seasons in Spain against Barcelona, his name was among the possible targets of Fenerbahce/ Ulker since last summer and coach Dusan Ivkovic believes that a player like De Colo, who was polished by his close friend Gregg Popovich in San Antonio, can be a part of his new Efes project. WallM: What's going to happen with Nando De Colo this summer? Jorge Sierra: Staying in the NBA is his priority, we're told. I just don't think he's done enough to warrant many offers in the States. No shame in returning, proving yourself again and giving the NBA another try down the road. Ersan Ilyasova did just that and has had a solid career in the league. If he goes back to Europe, the Spanish League will be his first option. HoopsHype

Q: Gregg Popovich said recently that Nando De Colo requested a trade earlier in the season. Were you exploring a trade all season, or did the deal with Toronto (traded Austin Daye to the Spurs for De Colo last month) just pop up last minute? RC Buford: I mean we looked for opportunities to help our team. There were times when Nando was playing a significant role that made it more difficult than other times because of injuries and such, so when opportunities became available that allowed us to help Nando accomplish his goals and give us an opportunity to look at Austin and see if he might be able to fit; I mean, often times things happen closer to the deadline than most, but it doesn’t mean that you were pursing it any harder or any less hard earlier than that. It’s just, people tend dance toward the deadline. San Antonio Express-News
