The Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries divorce has become a bitter fight, and we've learned Kris' lawyer intends to put reality TV on trial ... but that could blow up in his face. Sources tell us ... Kris and his lawyer, Lee Hutton, want to "expose the M.O. of reality TV" by proving Kim had no intention of staying married to him, but just wanted big ratings for her reality show. Now here's the irony. The duo wants to prove their point by asking the judge to allow TMZ and TV stations to broadcast the trial -- something that the judge might find a tad hypocritical ... not that we're complaining. TMZ.com He has looked at it from every conceivable angle, from every rational point of view. Still, newest Net Keith Bogans can’t figure out what happened in Chicago. He was waived and shown the door. That much he knows. The why, he’s not too sure about. “I never talked to them, they never talked to me. Only time I talked to them was when I found out I got waived,” said Bogans who made his first start for the Nets last night — ironically against the Bulls team he started every regular season and playoff game for last season. “They held me all the way to the deadline and then waived me. So that was kind of screwed up but it’s a business. [Stuff] happens.” New York Post Bogans gladly accepted the start. On Dec. 9, he was pulled out of Bulls practice. Then the waiver came Dec. 16 shortly before his $1.728 million contract had to be guaranteed. “It definitely put a chip on my shoulder but I didn’t let it affect me in a negative way,” Bogans said. “It was surprising, when I walked in the gym they told me I wasn’t practicing, after they had seen me there all week,” Bogans explained. “That was kind of like a slap in the face a little bit…I’ve been through a lot…but never been through something like that.” New York Post |

Ronnie Brewer: Bulls vs Nets glad to c my guy Keith Bogans get on with a team but he's gonna learn today #bullsnation #benchmob #seered we in here baby lol Twitter Mikhail Prokhorov, Russia’s third- richest man, said he’ll give $17 billion of his $18 billion fortune to charity if he defeats Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and three other candidates to win the presidency next month. “I’ll sell everything, all my assets when I become president and donate almost all of the money to charity,” Prokhorov said during a talk show with fellow candidate Vladimir Zhirinovsky that was broadcast on state-run television late. Prokhorov, who owns the New Jersey Nets basketball team in the U.S. and stakes in Russian metals companies United Co. Rusal (486) and Polyus Gold International Ltd., said he’d need the remaining $1 billion for personal expenses after life in the Kremlin. “I’ll need something to live on,” Prokhorov, 46, said. Bloomberg We’ve gone ahead and given you the CliffsNotes version of what he had to say and continue scrolling to see the full replay of Alex’s appearance: When asked about the latest he’s heard in the Dwight Howard trade rumors: “The Nets are the front-runners. I do think he ends up on the Nets, at some point. I’ve been told by people in Dwight’s life that he will be on the Nets, it’s just a matter of how and when.” On the draws of playing in Brooklyn, with Deron: “Brooklyn’s part of the draw, he definitely wants to go to a large market.” “Him and Deron are getting closer, which helps.” He wants to create a legacy of his own without being a second fiddle… he wants help, but he wants to be the face of the franchise.” “Deron has done a good job selling it: ‘you can be the face of the franchise.’ Deron realizes that Dwight is a top-3 player in the game.” netsarescorching.com This toughness manifested itself again Monday morning, when he talked emotionally about the Bulls releasing him and eloquently about the bond he formed with his former teammates. “Those 15 guys I was in the locker room with were all my brothers,” Bogans told the Tribune. “I formed a bond with them that I probably haven’t formed with another team that I’ve played on. That was like my family. All those guys reached out to me when I got released. They were genuinely hurt when I didn’t come back. DRose, Joakim (Noah), Luol (Deng), all reached out and asked me what’s going on. I didn’t have an answer for them. “I had one of the best seasons I’ve played and that was one of the best teams I’ve played on. It was a great experience. I wouldn’t trade it. I loved played for Tom (Thibodeau). He’s a great coach with my style, defense first. I don’t know why they waived me. I get upset every time I talk about it.” Chicago Tribune Bogans expressed frustration over how the sequence of events unfolded. He said he participated in informal workouts at Berto Center the week of Dec. 5 under the impression from agent Joel Bell, whom he has since fired, that the Bulls would bring him back. And Bogans said interest from Portland got scuttled when the Bulls held his rights from the time they pulled him off the floor on Dec. 9 to his official Dec. 16 release. Chicago Tribune According to sources close to this process Howard’s top destination remains New Jersey/Brooklyn with Dallas, LA and Orlando being viewed as equals if things don’t come together in New Jersey as planned. Sources close to the process say that both Howard and Deron Williams have been talking to their friends around the league about the Nets and assuming the Nets can make the moves both Howard and Williams want, both would agree to new deals with the Nets as free agents. HoopsWorld Sources close to the situation say Howard will shop his situation this summer and that while New Jersey is viewed as option #1, there are lots of parts that would have to line up for him to leave Orlando and the $30 million the Magic can offer and guarantee him other teams cannot. Sources say if the Nets cannot get the secondary assets both Howard and Williams covet, the Nets could lose out on both players. HoopsWorld ![]() Morrow's career .448 shooting from beyond the arc remains six percentage points behind all-time leader Steve Kerr, and he's second in the league this season in three-pointers made (59). "I would hope (he'd invited to the three-point competition), yes," Johnson said. "I think he's hands down one of the top two or three three- point shooters in the NBA." New York Daily News ![]() Lopez had surgery Dec. 23 to insert a screw into his right foot after he broke the fifth metatarsal bone in a preseason game against the Knicks. At the time, Lopez was expected to return in six-eight weeks. Friday marked six weeks since the surgery, and Lopez said he is up to running, skipping rope and doing “box jumps.” He said he likely will need to do some lateral movement, as well as some pivoting on the foot and more jumping, before he’s ready to practice. Assuming he isn’t ready to return to practice Tuesday, his next chance would be the team’s Thursday practice. If not then, perhaps Lopez will return next week. Newark Star-Ledger Andy Vasquez: Finally, Nets have no timetable for Brook Lopez' return from broken bone in his right foot. Next update on Lopez' progress will come Friday. Twitter Guard MarShon Brooks (broken toe, three games missed) is expected to try to practice this week, as is center Mehmet Okur (back spasms). Guard DeShawn Stevenson (tendinitis, right knee) is shut down until at least Feb. 14. Newark Star-Ledger |

One league front-office source described the Nets as being in wait-and-see mode. "If Orlando said to the Nets, 'Go get this player [to complete a Howard trade],' they'd go get that player," the person said. CBSSports.com League sources say Nets officials have remained in constant communication with Deron Williams and are encouraged by the All-Star point guard's improved take on the franchise's outlook. CBSSports.com ![]() Brook Lopez wants desperately to be back on the basketball court with his teammates. So desperately, that Lopez went to trainer Tim Walsh on Friday with one of those little pocket schedules. “I told him to point to a game,” Lopez said. “He folded it up and put it in his pocket.” The Nets are taking things slow with Lopez, who suffered a broken bone in his right foot on Dec. 21 and had surgery on Dec. 23. Lopez’ recovery timetable was 6-8 weeks from the surgery, which was six weeks ago Friday. “We’re trying to do the minimum right now, as opposed to the maximum,” Lopez said. “Do the minimum, see if it’s sore after that; if it’s sore after that, we know to pull back.” Bergen Record |
