With the 2014 NBA Draft two weeks away, the Denver Nuggets are scheduled to hold a workout Friday morning featuring Arizona’s Nick Johnson, Towson’s Jerrelle Benimon, and University of Central Florida’s Isaiah Sykes, and Metropolitan State’s Brandon Jefferson. NBA.com
The Clippers have a backcourt-heavy workout set for Monday. The team will bring in Missouri’s Jordan Clarkson, Arizona’s Nick Johnson, Nevada’s Deonte Burton and Cincinnati’s Sean Kilpatrick for a draft workout, with the team looking at options with 28th overall selection in the NBA Draft. Afterward, Raptors director of scouting Dan Tolzman, who Masai Ujiri hired shortly after he took over as general manager last year, spoke with the media on those players and the entire draft, which he has been scouting all year long. On impressions of the draft as a whole: “It’s great. It’s extremely talented this year. I think … it’s a very good draft to have three [picks].
