Maggette enjoyed his trip to Greece and the contract talks between his camp and PAOK are ongoing and serious. The offer currently on the table is a one-year, $5 million deal that would include an NBA opt-out clause for Maggette to return to the United States once a new collective bargaining agreement is ratified. Μore than 1,000 PAOK fans welcomed Corey Maggete at Thessaloniki's airport. The NBA superstar landed at Macedonia Airport at 22:55 and more than 1,000 crazy fans were waiting for him. After this big welcome Maggete said, "I am very happy and impressed. The fans are crazy and maybe I will play for PAOK. Corey Maggette is expected to land in Thessaloniki today. The NBA player negotiates a deal with PAOK. He will take a tour around the city and visit team facilities. According to Sport24.gr's latest info, NBA superstar Corey Maggette is expected to arrive in Salonica by Thursday at the latest in order to discuss his move to PAOK with the club's officials. According to the Greek sports website Gazzetta.gr, PAOK has made an offer to NBA veteran Corey Maggette. Maggette is the best paid player of Charlotte Bobcats and his next season contract is worth over $10 millions. Although PAOK can not compete with that sum, or much smaller ones, it will give Maggette the chance to stay active, playing basketball and being the leader of a Euroleague club. TalkBasket
