The last three years you established yourself step by step to the highest level of basketball! Why all the previous seasons you played in a lower level, not even in Euroleague? It was your mistake or just a matter of luck and bad timing? How do you explain the late explosion in your career? Pero Antic: “It was my fault and a mistake of the agents I had hired.. Nobody has taken time to talk with me and tell me what is the best way for me to succeed. We always went for the bigger money in the smaller teams… Plus there’s my explosive character. I think this character made coaches afraid of taking me to their teams.. All that changed when I had my first talk with Misko and then with coach Duda Ivkovic”. EuroHoops.net

The rest of the Pacers said Hibbert's benching was the result of a poor matchup against Atlanta's Paul Millsap and Pero Antic. "I was surprised just because it's never happened," forward Paul George said about Hibbert's benching, "but it was just a tough matchup for Roy. To have a five-man who can stretch the floor, put the ball on the ground and shoot perimeter shots. It was just a tough cover because Roy's great at protecting the rim and being in the paint and Antic really had him on the perimeter the whole night." ESPN.com

Macedonian basketball fans were ordered to put out of sight Macedonian flags with the Vergina Sun during an NBA match, MKD.mk reports. The Macedonian fans were waiting for Macedonian basketball player Pero Antic, who currently plays for the Atlanta Hawks, to start playing in the match when they were ordered to take down the flags. The Vergina Sun is a politically charged solar symbol and presents a point of conflict mainly between Greece and the Republic of Macedonia. It was discovered during archaeological excavations around the town of Vergina, in Macedonia [a geographic region of Greece], in the late 1970s. FOCUS Information Agency
