Pick acquired from Raptors: There is increasing chatter among NBA executives that the Thunder -- with two first- round picks and young talent in Jeremy Lamb and Perry Jones on the roster -- will look to make a major move on draft night. If they keep this pick, Saric, a smooth, mobile big man one executive describes as "the best passing big in the draft" is a nice find. Saric isn't the bruising back-to-the-basket scorer that Oklahoma City craves, but he is exactly the kind of high potential talent GM Sam Presti loves to develop. SI.com

Nominations for the Mark Madsen award have reopened. In spite of Enes Kanter’s efforts to secure the award for most awkward dance, Oklahoma City Thunder rookie forward Hollis Thompson is putting his name on the ballot. Captured in animated GIF form and tweeted by rookie teammate Perry Jones III, Thompson is seen doing what is only known as the “Hollis.” SheridanHoops

Jones prefers to be referred to as Perry Jones III rather than Perry Jones and that's why he chose jersey No. 3. However, the NBA does not allow Roman numerals on uniforms, so he will simply have “Jones” on the back of his jersey. Oklahoman

Perry Jones III who was picked at no.28 in the draft by OKC is proving to be healthy enough to fill the role that could be Vorontsevich’s. There were concerns about the meniscus of his right knee, that’s why his stock fell in the draft, but now the team believes that there isn’t any real problem. So, the forward from Baylor will get the roster spot instead of the Russian. EuroHoops.net

It figured that Perry Jones would eventually find his way onto the summer league shelf. After all, conventional wisdom had said he had a poor motor and maybe he was up on a lift and in need of an oil change. However, it was a tweak to his left ankle and not anything to do with the level of Jones' play that put him on the bench. But not before the 6-foot-11 forward showed that he just might be a gift that dropped into the lap of the Thunder when he fell all the way to No. 28 on draft night. "It's like a song in my head, I've heard it so much," Jones said of the talk about his motor. "It's in my vocabulary now." NBA.com

"He's a guy that has quickness at his size and fits in with his length and versatility," said Thunder general manager Sam Presti. "And what we've seen at this point is someone who has been excellent in terms of coming in and showing that he is a willing and active learner." NBA.com

Thunder first-round pick Perry Jones III had to leave the team's summer league game on Tuesday after sustaining a sprained left ankle. It's unclear whether Jones will be available for the final three games in Orlando. A team spokesman said Jones will be re-evaluated Wednesday morning. “I don't know exactly what happened,” Jones said. “All I know is my ankle start hurting and I went straight to the ground. Other than that, hopefully it was a good possession.” Oklahoman
