Jeter said when the "lil homie Isaiah" was made the 60th pick in the draft by the Kings he prepared himself to look at all is options. "Hey, I'm going to congratulate him," Jeter said. "I'm going to see Isaiah next week and I'm going to definitely congratulate him when I see him in Seattle and continue to give advice. I'm just happy for the opportunity. He'd signed a two-year contract last year, with the Kings holding the option for the second season. "I'm hearing from a lot of European teams and they're talking good so hopefully I'll decide something by next week maybe and definitely try to get the NBA-out clause and all that. But if I've got to be over there for a year, I've got to be over there a year. And I'll just have to come back continue to do what I do." Sacramento Bee |

Sacramento Kings rookie point guard Pooh Jeter says he is the fastest player on the team and could hold his own in a race with anyone in the league. But as speedy as Jeter is, he can’t beat his sister. Only one woman has ever run the 100 meters faster than Carmelita Jeter, sister of Sacramento Kings rookie guard Pooh Jeter. Jeter’s sister, Carmelita, is the second-fastest woman ever in the 100 meters. Her personal-best time of 10.64 at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix last year was the fourth-best ever. Only the late Florence Griffith-Joyner has run faster. “Pooh’s quick, but come on now,” Carmelita said. “Since I’ve been a professional we haven’t raced. Pooh’s fast, but not track fast. That’s a big difference.” Said Pooh: “I can beat her with a basketball in my hands.” Yahoo! Sports |
