In just a few short months, Brian Cardinal has gone from World Champion to intern. Purdue announced Monday that Cardinal, who helped the Dallas Mavericks win the 2011 NBA Finals, will serve as an athletics department intern until the league’s lockout is completed. Cardinal will work with the John Purdue Club and John R. Wooden Leadership Institute and also mentor student-athletes. He will work in event coordination on projects including the 2012 NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament and the Big Ten Wrestling championships. Sporting News |
