The Dallas Mavericks recalled guard Ricky Ledo from the Texas Legends of the D-League early Monday morning. In 14 games for the Legends this season, Ledo averaged 14.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.14 steals in 29.8 minutes per contest. Fort Worth Star-Telegram

It’s unclear how long Ledo will be with the Legends. The Mavericks’ roster is log-jammed at the shooting guard and small forward positions, and because Ledo is such a young, raw talent, playing time of any kind is the most important thing for his development. One of those players is Douglas-Roberts, who said he’ll try to help Ledo’s development. “I don’t know how long he’s gonna be down here, but I definitely plan on staying in his ear a little bit, kind of showing him the ropes,” he said. The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have assigned Ricky Ledo to the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League. Ledo (6-7, 200) has seen action in six games for the Mavericks and holds averages of 1.2 points and 2.6 minutes per game. Dallas Morning News
