So the Sixers will waive Turiaf to free up a roster spot and received a second-rounder. He'll still gets his expiring $1.6 million contract, and everyone's happy. The move also gives the Sixers more salary-cap flexibility because they got rid of Shved's $3.1 million salary. Philadelphia Inquirer

On Friday he sent Alexey Shved to the Houston Rockets in exchange for the Rockets' 2015 second-round pick and Ronny Turiaf from the Minnesota Timberwolves and the rights to Spanish League player Sergei Lishouk. The Sixers will waive Turiaf. Lishouk, 32, will never make their roster. The team is expected to trade his rights at some point. Philadelphia Inquirer

The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced they have completed a three-team trade with Houston and Philadelphia in which they have acquired guard Troy Daniels, two second-round draft picks and cash considerations from the Houston Rockets. As part of the deal, the Wolves send guard/forward Corey Brewer to Houston and forward/center Ronny Turiaf to Philadelphia. Philadelphia sends guard Alexey Shved to Houston and receives Houston’s 2015 second round pick and the rights to Serhiy Lishchuk. NBA.com
