Sergio Rodriguez has been named Most Valuable Player of the 2013-14 Euroleague season. Rodriguez led Madrid in both scoring (13.5 ppg.) and assists (5 apg.) despite playing the fourth-most minutes on the team. Rodriguez ranked fourth in the league in three-point shooting accuracy (48.8%), fifth in average assists, seventh in performance index rating (15.7) and was also among the league's top 10 in free throw accuracy (89.2%) and steals (1.2 spg.). Euroleague Basketball is pleased to announce that Sergio Rodriguez has been voted the bwin MVP for the 2013-14 season. Rodriguez received his MVP trophy Thursday at the EFES Euroleague Awards Ceremony at Piazza del Duomo, where he was honored alongside his fellow members of the 2013-14 All-Euroleague First Team. The ceremony was one of the first official acts of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Milan. Ex Knicks guard Sergio Rodriguez was caught by surprise by the news of New York's interest in Argentinean playmaker Pablo Prigioni, his former teammate at Real Madrid. "Pablo is a great player and he can play anywhere," Rodriguez said. "I don't know what kind of expectations they have for him, but I'm sure he can play over there."
