One day after Chauncey Billups said his Los Angeles Clippers teammate Blake Griffin was "too nice," Shaquille O'Neal said the same thing about Los Angeles Lakers Dwight Howard but was slightly more pointed with his criticism. "He's too nice," O'Neal said while on ESPNLA 710. "I'm a connoisseur of giggling and playing and all that and making you laugh and playing with the fans but when I cross that line I'm ready to tear your face off. I don't care who it is. You could put one of my aunts or uncles out there and I'm going to give him these elbows in their chest and I'm going to throw it down in their face. That's what you have to do. … He's just too nice. If I was him I would get into the same mood I was in." ESPN.com

O'Neal said he relished in the pressure and made it his goal to be the best center in Lakers history. "Kareem was the best big man in Lakers history and I wanted that title," O'Neal said. "That's the attitude he needs to have. All the giggling and smiling (is) too much. The fact that he's the so-called best big man in the league and doesn't get doubled every time, that's telling me something. That's telling me teams respect him but they don't fear him. I would rather be feared than respected." ESPN.com

A two-year-old from Derby, Kansas, "Trick-Shot" Titus has captured the internet's attention with several highlight videos of his basketball exploits. (Note: There is no indication that Titus is a baby genius, so he probably did not devise these shots on his own.) He is a talented little boy, and he deserves attention. Jimmy Kimmel and his staff have noticed Titus, so on Thursday night they invited him to the set for this month's first post-NBA Finals edition of "Jimmy Kimmel Live." Except they didn't just let Titus shoot by himself — they pitted him in a free-throw shooting competition against a much bigger foe: 15-time All-Star Shaquille O'Neal. Yahoo! Sports

Shaq, like many others, believes it time to turn the corner in the coaching circle. Leave the recycled coaches behind and give qualified assistants – like Shaw – a chance to lead a team from the sidelines. “I’m sick and tired of these coaches getting another chance before these other up-and-coming guys,” Shaq said. “People need to realize this is a new era and B Shaw speaks that language. He’s my age, but he understands how it goes. He knows how the players go, how they tick. All these guys who have losing records come and try to do the same (expletive). It’s not going work.” Indianapolis Star

When a team loses its playoff series on TNT, the Inside the NBA crew memorializes the squad with a hilarious running bit called Gone Fishin'. This has evolved over the years and now involves a plethora of fishing gear in addition to highly pomo Photoshops. Typically, this exercise is done within the safety of TNT's Atlanta studio. But Inside the NBA is on the road for the playoffs, so the crew went fishing for the Pacers from a balcony area at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami. And yep, as the video above shows, Shaq went overboard. Thank goodness the producers were there to save him; no railing can hold a flailing Shaq. (Especially a post-retirement Shaq.) On Monday we lost the TNT crew for the season; we may have almost lost Shaq forever. SB Nation

Shaquille O’Neal loves Miami Heat center Chris “Birdman Birdman” Andersen. That doesn’t mean he and the TNT crew are going to cut the tattooed one any slack. Paul George obliterated Andersen so bad even LeBron James had to give props. So the TNT guys did dying bird noises because why not. For The Win
