According to his agent, Baynes' performances have caught the eyes of several NBA general-managers. "There are two Western Conference teams closely following Aron, and after four rounds of Euroleague, there has been much more serious enquiries and interest shown," Moldovan commented. Specifying on what exactly attracts NBA teams to Baynes, Moldovan said, "they love the that he's a good free throw shooter (68% in Euroleague), which is rare for bigs in the NBA. Because Aron started playing ball so late, he is only now coming to his peak. Judging by the way he's playing now and the interest I'm getting -- the NBA is his next step -- it's now just a matter of finding the right fit for him," he said. Sportando |

Though the text was difficult to translate, Green did indicate that he's taking his days "match by match" and indicated "At this moment, I'm still here," referring to playing in Europe. I guess (it) will happen soon. My agent did not mention it (returning to the Spurs) before we talked. But I repeat, my thoughts are currently aimed at Olympia. I want to help the team to the best of my ability. ProjectSpurs.com |

Rookie center Jerome Jordan became the first Knick to officially hit Europe to play basketball because of the lockout. With all the rhetoric from Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony about playing overseas ball, the 7-foot Jordan landed in Slovenia Tuesday and participated in his first day of training camp for Krka yesterday. Jordan has an out clause to return to the Knicks if the lockout ever ends. The Adriatic League season begins in late September with exhibitions starting in two weeks. As The Post reported, Jordan agreed to terms a month ago, but the deal was nearly scrapped because of a dispute over various housing perks. New York Post |

Though he appreciates the opportunity to play anywhere while the NBA is shuttered, it was never his dream to play in Slovenia, or anywhere else. In this, he is not alone. Green says his decision to play abroad was not made lightly. He likely would not be going if not for an out clause in his Slovenian contract that will allow him to return to the Spurs once the NBA’s labor impasse is resolved. “I didn’t want to jeopardize what I had here,” Green said. “This is where I want to be. At the same time, I need to play somewhere.” San Antonio Express-News Green, 24, appeared in eight games over two stints with the Spurs last season, and also made four postseason appearances. Already signed for the 2011-12 season, if it happens, Green stands a better-than-decent chance of making the Spurs out of training camp, if there is one. In a way, Green considers his out clause as a bet that cooler heads will eventually prevail in the NBA’s collective bargaining standoff. “I’m optimistic we’ll at least have half a season,” Green said. Jeff McDonald: Hearing Danny Green probably does have out clause in Slovenia, which would jibe with his tweet from earlier. Twitter Curtis Stinson has been one of the most most statistically impressive players in the NBA D-League the past few seasons. Unfortunately for fans of the Development League, however, the point guard doesn't look like he'll be suiting up again for the Iowa Energy next season. Stinson has signed with KRKA Novo Mesto in Slovenia, according to a release on the team's website, and will team up alongside 2010 NBA Draft pick Jerome Jordan this season. It's probably fitting that the club's current roster has listed the former D-League MVP's position as "defender." Ridiculous Upside |

Former Austin Toros G/F Danny Green announced via Twitter late Friday evening that he would indeed be moving on to play in Slovenia during the current NBA Lockout. Green, who signed a non-guaranteed multi-year contract with the Toros' NBA affiliate San Antonio Spurs last season, stated in a series of tweets that he hopes to be back when the lockout ends. However he also indicated that he would be back if the organization (Spurs) wants him back. Examiner |

Krka Novo Mesto wil soon make official the signing of Jerome Jordan from New York Knicks. The center agreed to terms with the Slovenian team for one year with an NBA out. As reported by Jonathan Givony from DraftExpress on Twitter, Krka will get 500k of buyout from New York Knicks who hold his NBA rights if the center will join the franchise when the lockout ends. Knicks rookie center Jerome Jordan signed a contract Tuesday to play in Slovenia for the Krka club with an “out clause’’, his agent Todd Ramasar told The Post. The out clause will allow the 7-foot Jordan the option to leave the club when the lockout ends and join the Knicks. Ramasar said that is Jordan’s plan. Jordan played for Hemofarm in Serbia last season to get seasoning. The Knicks obtained Jordan’s draft rights for $1 million after the Bucks selected him in the second round in 2009. New York Post |

![]() Just like last year in Poland when the fans traveled en masse from Slovenia to back their national team and help them reach the Semi-Finals, the Abdi Ipecki was packed with people wearing green and white for Saturday's first game between the Slovenians and Tunisia. Slovenia rolled to an 80-56 victory. "Those guys (Slovenia) are tough," USA's Kevin Durant said after his side’s 106-78 romp over Croatia. "They have a big crowd here, too. "So, it’s going to be a tough environment for us. "It’s something that we’re used to so far, playing in Spain and playing in Greece. "We know what it takes to win in a tough environment. "We got to come out there and play our game." FIBA.com |
