From Travis Steel: What did you and Stephen Jackson listen to in the car? Bun B or the White Stripes? Matt Bonner: Sadly, we never rode together in a car. The need never arose. I always had my Pontiac Grand Prix, and he always had his Rolls Royce. All you need to know is that Stak5 is the man. He was a great teammate and a good friend and if he ever asks me to spit a guest verse on one of his tracks, I wouldn’t even hesitate. He rocked our charity SXSW showcase last year and was clutch like Bird… The fat lady sang. So all you Stak5 haters better not step or you’ll get served… Michael Chang. Hardwood Paroxysm

The Los Angeles Clippers are expected to waive small forward Stephen Jackson on Tuesday, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because the decision had not yet been announced. The 13-year veteran was cut unexpectedly by the San Antonio Spurs in April and had an eight-month hiatus before signing with the Clippers on Dec. 10, but his contract was scheduled to become fully guaranteed as of late Tuesday and the Clippers need to clear roster spots as they continue to retool. Jackson played in nine games for the Clippers, averaging just 1.7 points (23.1% shooting) and 1.1 rebounds while playing an average of 11.9 minutes per game. USA Today Sports

Alex Kennedy: Clippers source believes Stephen Jackson will be waived soon, as @Dan Woike tweeted. Not sure why, or if LA is targeting someone else. Twitter @AlexKennedyNBA

L.A. Clippers - Maalik Wayns and Stephen Jackson: Wayns's contract was due to be guaranteed on December 1st, but the date was seemingly revised after Wayns's injury that has caused him to miss the whole season to date (players on unguaranteed contracts that are hurt in the course of team related activities are paid until they are healthy again). Healthy again, Wayns now seems unlikely to make the cut, in light of the Clipper's luxury tax position. The same position factors into the decision on Jackson, and his worryingly poor play since his midseason call-up compounds the problem. The Score

The Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors do not like each other. Not even a little bit. That mutual dislike didn’t stop Stephen Jackson from giving a Warriors arena worker a present. OK, it was a regift, but it’s still nice. The NBA gave its players Samsung Galaxy Note tablets for the holidays, which is nice. Jackson took the gift and gave it to a stranger, also nice. Two nice things! Christmas spirit! Samsung! For The Win

The Clippers found themselves in need of depth in the wake of injuries to Matt Barnes, J.J. Redick, Maalik Wayns and most recently Reggie Bullock. Jackson logged 12 minutes in the Clippers' 96-88 win over Boston, going 0-for-3 in his first game since April. The San Antonio Spurs waived Jackson on April 12, just days before the postseason began. "I felt pretty good. I was winded,” Jackson said after the game. "My legs were tired as soon as I got in the game, but it felt good to get back out there. Getting a win in the first one is definitely sweet.” RealGM
