Even after spending a year in the NBA Developmental League and requiring a strong showing with the Timberwolves' Las Vegas Summer League team just to keep his name (Ryan Evans) on the radar. "A lot of times, professional coaches tell us there is a crossroads between the young NBA players and the overseas guys," Ryan Evans, who could wind up playing in Europe this upcoming season, told FOXSportsWisconsin.com. Azzurro Napoli Basket, team of the italian league two, have reached an agreement with the power forward De'Mon Brooks, as reported to Sportando. Brooks, 22 year-old rookie, 2.01, was a four-year starter for Davidson Wildcats, averaged 19.0 points last season, shot 58.6 percent from the field, hit 14 of 31 3-pointers and averaged 7.1 rebounds. He was named the Southern Conference Player of the Year. From tomorrow Brooks will play the Las Vegas Summer League with the Charlotte Hornets. Sportando

The Cavaliers are expected to have one of the better teams entered in the Las Vegas Summer League, which starts on July 11. As expected, David Blatt will coach the team. The roster includes current Cavs players Anthony Bennett, Matthew Dellavedova, Carrick Felix, Sergey Karasev and Scotty Hopson. Also on the team are the Cavs’ two draft picks, Kansas swingman Andrew Wiggins (No. 1 overall) and Virginia swingman Joe Harris (33rd overall). The Cavs will play three preliminary round games, all broadcast live on NBA TV, before being seeded in the summer league tournament. Morning Journal
