Dime: What is the funniest story you have from the process? JH: Probably when me and Perry (Jones) had to go through customs in Canada when we went to work out for the Raptors so we got on line and they looked at our passports and had us fill out the papers, everything was fine. Then Terrence (Jones) comes up and the lady takes him a whole different way so he had to go through the back and a completely different process. They had to recheck him and look and double-check his passport so it was really funny to see him go through that, and it took him 15 minutes more to get downstairs. Dime |

Due to bad body language, Terrence Jones has been a player that scouts speculated would struggle in interviews and psychological examinations, but surprisingly according to contacts he has tested very well. Despite that, word is that he has been slipping some of late. He's seen as a likely mid first rounder (15-23) with an outside shot of cracking the lottery. NBADraft.net |

Sources say the Hornets are seriously considering North Carolina 7-foot center Tyler Zeller for their 10th overall pick. Zeller worked out for the Hornets on June 4, along with Illinois center Meyers Leonard, Mississippi State power forward/center Arnett Moultrie and Kentucky power forward Terrence Jones. New Orleans Times-Picayune The Pistons are clearly looking for a big at No. 9 and have brought in all the guys who might be available to them at that spot. Illinois' Meyers Leonard, North Carolina's Tyler Zeller, North Carolina's John Henson, Ohio State's Jared Sullinger, Baylor's Perry Jones and Kentucky's Terrence Jones are among those scheduled to go head-to-head in that workout. Yes, Golden State already has a starting shooting guard in Thompson. But that doesn’t matter, according to sources. The Warriors are looking for the best available player no matter the position, especially since the early favorites (Baylor’s Perry Jones III and Kentucky’s Terrence Jones) didn’t impress. Going best available leaves the field wide open for the Warriors. Ross, if Portland snatches up Waiters, could feasibly play SF because his athleticism figures to help him guard the position. Contra Costa Times Terrence Jones of Kentucky, Perry Jones III of Baylor, UNC's John Henson and Ohio State big man Jared Sullinger will all be working out in front of the Raptors' brass today, and will be joined by lesser-known prospects Alex Young of IUPUI, and Tyler Murray of Wagner. ![]() When all was said and done Monday, neither Baylor’s Perry Jones nor Kentucky’s Terrence Jones wowed Warriors management, according to sources. They’re good players with top-level talent, sure. And both played well. But they didn’t do enough to make the Warriors fall in love, which is probably what had to happen for either of them to be the No. 7 overall pick. Contra Costa Times The Warriors are hoping to use their lottery pick to upgrade the small forward position, their biggest need in the starting lineup. (They can then use their three other picks plus the mid-level exception to address the frontcourt depth they need.) But both Joneses are missing some of the elements of their game the Warriors are looking for in a small forward. Contra Costa Times Both players, however, said they could play either position at the NBA level. While many consider their ‘tweener status a knock, they called it a bonus to their game. Multiple sources said both fit best at power forward. Their size certainly fit that mold. Contra Costa Times One team source said Perry Jones is in the race, but he’s not a front runner. Another Warriors source rated the Baylor sophomore above Terrence Jones, though the Warriors’ camp likes the Kentucky star. But both are at risk of being trumped by future prospects. Ohio State power forward Jared Sullinger is scheduled to come in. Golden State is still hoping to workout North Carolina’s Harrison Barnes, who is projected to be a better SF at the NBA level.
