After Joakim Noah sealed a win over the Mavericks with a late bucket to put the Bulls up nine, he was looking for a little love from his teammates. As the Mavericks called timeout, Noah went for a huge chest bump with Bulls rookie Tony Snell — but Snell didn’t reciprocate the bump, making for this awkward moment. For The Win

“Derrick’s voice (also) means so much to this team,” said Noah of another of his teammates who now knows misfortune and about being dismissed. “I see him talk to Jimmy Butler during a game, to Tony Snell. He talks to me all the time. It gives us confidence. He has that much impact on this tam. His words go a long way. He’s our star player and a good dude. That’s why it’s so hard to see him go down again. But he’s a warrior. He never lets up. The way he’s working now you know our time will come.” Bulls.com

The Sacramento Kings are looking to acquire a second first-round pick and are using guard Jimmer Fredette as bait. Sources say the Kings have reached out to a number of teams in the mid-to-late first round in an attempt to secure another pick. Both the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz are potential destinations for Jimmer. Kings coach Mike Malone is enamored with both Tim Hardaway Jr. and Tony Snell, but the Kings feel that they can get them much lower in the draft. ESPN.com

Tony Snell appears to have made an impression on the Sacramento Kings. With the NBA Draft now a week away, the 21-year-old wing returned to the capital city yesterday for another pre-draft workout before Kings decision- makers. “I was a little surprised, but I was happy at the same time,” Snell said of his second audition with Sacramento. “That means I did something good in the first workout so I tried to prove myself again today.” According to the former New Mexico wing, there wasn’t much different between this Kings workout versus his first. However, his demeanor on Thursday was night and day compared to his appearance in Sacramento 11 days ago. Snell appeared more confident and relaxed in his session with the media this time around. Following yesterday’s workout, new Kings coach Michael Malone took some time to speak one-on-one with Snell. Malone said afterwards he made a point to assure Snell of the Kings’ interest. “I just told him when you have guys back here for a second time, we’re not bringing guys back in that we don’t like,” Malone said yesterday. ”So Tony had a very good career at New Mexico and he’s played very well for us in the two times he’s been here.” Cowbell Kingdom
