After two seasons in Manresa, Adam Hanga will probably take the next step with a Euroleague team. The Hungarian guard is close to a 4-years deal with Laboral Kutxa. He is under contract with Manresa and Laboral Kutxa has to pay the buy out in order to get him and have the right to sign him with a four year contract with him. If this happens, everyone involved with the deal would be happy with they way things will turn out. Probably even the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are keeping Hanga’s NBA rights after picking him in number 59 of the 2011 draft. EuroHoops.net

The Timberwolves selected Robbie Hummel in the second round (No. 58 overall) of last June’s draft, and the parties agreed he would play the 2012-13 season in Spain, largely because of their glut of forwards. He’s “ready to go full bore” to make their roster for the 2013-14 season, though changes in their front office — Flip Saunders was named president of basketball operations last month, after David Kahn was let go — could add another element of uncertainty. He is expected to play for their entry in the 22-team Las Vegas summer league, scheduled to run from July 12 to 22. Post-Tribune

“They wanted to see if I could stay healthy, and I proved that I could,” said Hummel, who averaged 3.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in 15.5 minutes in five games in Las Vegas for the Timberwolves last year. “My knee feels great, 100 percent normal. I feel like I had a great season, and it helped me a lot. You practice so much, playing only one game a week, you’re bound to improve. Seeing the game from a different perspective and playing with different rules, it’s only going to make you better.” Post-Tribune

On development, King reiterated the Nets intention to sign Bojan Bogdanovic, saying he is the kind of player the Nets will need to bring in, with their tight salary cap. "Bojan is someone who's had big games. He can shoot the three, has good size, is very physical so the goal is to get him over here this year," King said. "He has an NBA buyout so the object is to exercise it and give him the money and get him to come over. I think he wants to come over." He added nothing can happen until free agency begins in July. On Wednesday night he signed a three-year, $2.5 million contract to play for the Orlando Magic of the NBA. “He couldn’t be more excited,” said Alberto Ebanks, his agent. “This is him fulfilling his dream, a dream a lot of people probably never envisioned.” New York Daily News
