The GM of Fenerbahce Ulker in Turkey confirmed to a local sports site that Bojan Bogdanovic, the Nets second round pick in 2011, will be staying with Fener next season. Kemal Dincer, Fenerbahce's GM, talked with Basketfaul about the personnel market of the Turkish team and noted, "Bojan Bogdanovic will stay with us next season." He also denied a report that Jordan Farmar would join Fener after his buyout from the Hawks, expected later this week. NetsDaily

The future of Jordan Farmar could be in Europe again after his short stint with Maccabi Tel Aviv during the NBA Lockout. The PG opted in on his contract with the Nets but Farmar will be traded to the Hawks in the package for Joe Johnson when the moratorium period ends. Atlanta will waive him after July 11 and, as free agent, he is close to joining Anadolu Efes Istanbul on a 2+1, $2.5M per season deal. There are still a few details left on his contract and some bonuses that the two parts are trying to set. In the mix for Farmar there is also Fenerbahce but he seems ready to join Efes. Sportando

With just seven players committed to contracts for next season, the Nets have plenty of work to do to round out the roster for their first year in Brooklyn. One player who is unlikely to find his way onto the roster, however, is Bojan Bogdanovic, last year’s second-round pick. Though the Nets are high on his talent, contractual issues likely will keep him playing for Fenerbahce, one of Turkey’s top clubs, for at least another season. “It would be difficult,” Bogdanovic's agent, Marc Cornstein, told The Post yesterday. “I wouldn’t say 100 percent, but in all likelihood he’ll be playing in Turkey next season.” New York Post

Carlos Arroyo spent the season in Turkey with Besiktas winning both Eurochallenge and TBL. The Puerto Rican PG hasn't decided yet his future. His priority is the NBA because he can be with his family who lives in Miami. But if he won't get a contract in the NBA, he will return to Turkey. "I have not decided my future yet. In Turkey I have some important proposals but on the other hand my family lives in Miami. I have to ponder my final decision" said Arroyo. "I had a great season in Turkey but I was most of the time without my family. I have to weigh all my options. I have a very good offer from Galatasaray and one from Besiktas. If I don't return to the NBA, I will be back to Turkey. Sportando

Nets general manager Billy King tweeted out an idyllic photo from Istanbul on Thursday afternoon, where he said he would be this week for the Euroleague Final Four, which begins Friday. About an hour later, however, Nets fans got a surprise when star point guard Deron Williams – who played for Turkish league power Besiktas in Istanbul during the lockout – tweeted out a photo of what looked to be the nearly the same view captioned “Back in Istanbul.” But the surprises don’t end there, as The Post has learned that Mikhail Prokhorov will King and Williams for CSKA Moscow’s semifinal Friday against Panathinaikos. With Williams famously set to explore free agency this summer – and with his hometown Mavericks, fresh off their four-game sweep at the hands of the Thunder, expected to be the primary challengers for his signature – the fact that he’s spending time during the offseason with both King and Prokhorov can only be seen as a good sign for the team’s chances of keeping him. New York Post

But King, Williams and Prokhorov will also be getting a close look at CSKA star Andrei Kirilenko, a name very familiar to NBA fans after playing 10 years for the Jazz, including together with Williams from the day the point guard was drafted until he was dealt to the Nets. While multiple sources flatly denied a report last week that said a verbal agreement between Kirilenko and the Nets was imminent, The Post did confirm that the team has monitored the versatile 6-foor-10 forward’s play this season for CSKA. In addition to Kirilenko’s obvious connection with Williams – and Kirilenko’s wife, Masha, wrote in a blog that Williams and his wife, Amy, had met with the Kirilenko’s in Istanbul – Kirilenko also has ties to Prokhorov.
