Riley and the Heat currently point to Miami native and 12-year Heat veteran Udonis Haslem as a symbol of their "Heat Lifer" campaign. But sources around the league know Riley has offered Haslem to any number of teams in trade talks in recent years. With the right deal, of course Riley probably would've done the right thing for the franchise and made the deal. He'd save the crying for later -- and quite possibly hire Haslem back after his playing days. ESPN.com

Dwyane Wade scored 32 points on 18 shots and the Miami Heat beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night, 106-92. After the game, Wade got the customary postgame interview on the ESPN broadcast. Udonis Haslem took the opportunity to videobomb his forever teammate and even used bunny ears. With Chris Bosh out for the season, other Miami big men have been asked to do more, including videobomb. The Big Lead

Shortly after Whiteside’s ejection, Udonis Haslem (he was out with multiple injuries) stormed from the bench to the locker room. It is unknown why he went back there, but there is one obvious possibility. Palm Beach Post

The veteran power forward became the Heat's latest injury concern when he was forced out with an injured left wrist just 4 minutes, six seconds after entering the 98-85 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. X-rays taken at the AT&T Center were negative, with further tests scheduled upon the team's Saturday return to South Florida. South Florida Sun-Sentinel

"Yeah," that's the way the season's going," said coach Erik Spoelstra, who went into Friday's game with only 11 available bodies, with Whiteside, Williams, Dwyane Wade and Josh McRoberts all sidelined. "It doesn't look great. He could barely move it." Haslem said he was hurt on a freak sequence. "Went up for a shot with my right hand, caught myself on the way down with my left hand and it bent back," he said. "When I got up, I couldn't feel my hand for a second. Actually, for a while I couldn't feel it fully. It had some pain and some swelling," South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Heat power forward Udonis Haslem has signed on to be an executive producer of an inspiring film about a South Florida youth basketball coach with ALS. The film “Who is Lou Gehrig?” is being directed by Gil Green, who is well known in the music video business and also directs commercials and the Heat’s player introduction videos. Green’s lifelong friend, Jeff Vogel, has ALS, but continues to coach girls’ youth basketball at the North Miami JCC. The movie will focus on Vogel’s powerful imagination, which he uses as a coaching tool. Miami Herald

The finished film will be screened at this year's Borscht Film Festival, which is Dec. 18-21. The film will feature Haslem’s debut as an actor. He will play himself. Many of Vogel’s lessons as a coach revolve around his players imagining they’re playing for the Miami Heat. Haslem has donated $10,000 to the project, but Green is still short of his financial goal to finish the film. For more information about donating to the project please visit the film’s page on KickStarter.com. The deadline for donations is Oct. 9. Miami Herald
