The Nets will hold the final draft workout at their New Jersey practice facility today. The headline name among the six players who are scheduled to attend is Louisville center Gorgui Dieng, who anchored the Cardinals’ defense on their way to the national championship. The other players expected to participate are Ohio State forward Deshaun Thomas and four local products: Miami guard Durand Scott, who starred at Rice High School; USC guard Jio Fontan, who began his collegiate career at Fordham after playing high school ball with Nets guard Tyshawn Taylor at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City; St. Bonaventure forward Demetrius Conger and Division III Farmingdale State center A.J. Matthews, both of whom are Brooklyn natives. New York Post

D.J. Cooper confirmed Tuesday that he will be working out with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, June 26, one day before the 2013 NBA Draft. This will be the fifth and final workout for the former Ohio point guard. WOUB

With just two days remaining before the 2013 NBA Draft, the Clippers are conducting their final group workout Tuesday morning at the team’s training facility. Potential first-round pick Tony Mitchell of North Texas is the top rated prospect attending. He averaged 9.3 rebounds in 55 college games and entered the NBA as a sophomore after becoming one of the best high school players in the nation in 2010. Trevor Mbakwe (Minnesota) and Elias Harris (Gonzaga), two more athletic rebounders, will join Mitchell along with guards Ian Clark (Belmont) and Peyton Siva, who led Louisville to the 2013 NCAA title. California shooting guard Allen Crabbe, the reigning Pac-12 player of the year, will have an individual workout with Bucks officials Tuesday. The 6-foot-6 Crabbe suffered an injury two weeks ago in a workout in New York and had to cancel an earlier scheduled appearance in Milwaukee. He is considered one of the top shooters in Thursday's draft and has great length for a guard with a 6-11 wingspan. Crabbe averaged 18.4 points and 6.1 rebounds as a junior for the Golden Bears and shot 45% from the field, 35% from three-point range and 81% at the foul line. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

The 76ers worked out former Syracuse point guard Michael Carter-Williams over the weekend, a league source has confirmed. The 6-foot-6, 184-pounder, who left the Orange after his sophomore season, is expected to be a lottery pick in Thursday's NBA draft at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Sixers have a first-round pick (11th overall) and two second-round selections, the 35th and 42d picks. Philadelphia Inquirer
