I wanted the Cavs to keep Wiggins because I wanted that for Wiggins. Playing under LeBron would have been the best thing for him.
It was a crazy opinion at the time, and I remember getting shouted down for it. But I might've traded Kyrie for Love before dealing Wiggins.
DC called Bennett & Wiggins "two special players," praised Zach too. "They’ve got a nice young core. They’re going to be something special.”
Cousins to reporters tonight: "“Man, I like Wiggins. I told him at the end of the game he’s going to be a special player."
Flip on Wiggins: "I don't want to say it was a coming-out party, but I think we saw some things that we expect out of him."
Cousins: "I like Wiggins. I told him at the end of the game, he’s going to be a special player, and I like Anthony bennett as well."
Andrew Wiggins is already a helluva player, though.
Wiggins is dog tired but going hard to the end, defending that inbounds pass. I nice step forward
Career-high 27 points for Andrew Wiggins.
Not over yet: Wiggins hits a 3 (career-high 25) and Wolves trail Kings 95-90 with 5:36 to go
Looks like Wiggins will finally get a breather after 19 straight minutes. 9 points, 3 rebs, finished the shift with 2 steals and an assist.
Wiggins has played 18 straight minutes to start the game, and counting.
Hard to envision a scenario where Cavs don't get it together, but it would've been fun to see Bron run w/ the pups (Wiggins, Bennett)
Last note: I figured Wiggins could defend the wings LeBron didn't want to any more. Marion isn't quite that any more.
If I was Cleveland, I wouldn't have given up Wiggins in the KLove package. Said it then, believe it even more now. But LBJ wanted a PF.
Wiggins has 9 of his 14 points here in 3rd qtr, but Wolves trail Spurs 81-59
Nine straight for Wiggins. Asserting himself now.
