No Favors or Hayward for the Jazz tonight. Each game will be evaluated as its own entity.
Snyder says the Jazz are resting Hayward and Favors
Jazz will rest Hayward and Favors tonight, Quin Snyder says.
NBA viewed Gasol block of Hayward shot in SLC, called a foul, same way. NBA ruled contact after block was incidental. Hayward missed 3rd ft.
Key here is after the block shot the contact by Gasol on Hayward is incidental to the shot. No foul.
All other calls by officials in final 2 minutes but call on Hayward shooting 3 was wrong call
NBA says that both Tim Duncan's block on James Harden (correct no-call) & Marc Gasol's block on Gordon Hayward (incorrect call) were clean.
Hayward: "I felt pretty good. Back rim, it's on target. I hit the first two, those are the tough ones. Just missed the last one."
Q on Hayward: "I think he's great with the pressure. Sometimes the ball goes in, sometimes it doesn't... The game was about the last 5 min."
My guess is the ref report calls the Gasol Hayward play a foul on Hayward. It is a foul with 8:00 in 1st so it is a foul at .01 in 4th
That phantom foul call on Marc Gasol, which most viewed as a clean block of Hayward's 3, affected total in Griz-Jazz. Would've gone UNDER.
I hope someone can Vine or Gif or Gfy or something Marc grabbing the rebound of that Hayward miss and berating the ref, he was HEATED
Gordon Hayward misses one free throw out of three, Memphis ESCAPES and heads to Staples vs. Clippers on a back to back. Back in the 2 seed.
Hayward makes two of three free-throws....needed three of three, which means the Jazz lose 89-88...great game, but the Jazz end up short
Ball. Dont. Lie. Memphis wins after Hayward misses the third free throw. Grizz stay at No. 2
Hayward hits the first two and ... misses the third. Final: Memphis 89, Jazz 88.
Third call to Secaucus confirms Hayward was behind the line. A gift. Jazz down 89-86 with three free throws coming.
Hayward's feet were behind the line lmao
Hayward gets fouled in the corner!
Back-to-back highlights for the Jazz. Hayward steal & a superb spin move followed by another Hood-to-Gobert oop. Jazz up 86-62.
Gordon Hayward, GAWD.
Jazz down 73-72 at the end of three...very well played game so far on both ends. Hayward has a game-high 23. Hood has 18. Gobert with 12
Gordon Hayward leads everyone with 18 points...Rodney Hood has 12
Halftime: Jazz and Grizz tied at 49. Hayward — 18p, 3r, 1a Hood — 12 p, 1r, 1a Gasol — 13 p, 2r, 3a Jazz shooting 50% (4/10 3FG), 10 TOV
Hayward's destroying everyone tonight so far. They can't check him
Hayward is killing Jeff Green right now....Pains me to say it
Then Q said there might still be a game Hayward sits out. So we'll see.
Snyder came with a "why are we even talking about this" when the question of Hayward's minutes was brought up this morning.
Jazz down 23-21 with 2:03 remaining in the first Q. Hayward and Hood taking turns beating Memphis off the dribble for buckets and fouls
Hayward has 11 points and just tied things up at 22. After two lights shifts, won't be surprised to see him get his full workload tonight.
Rodney Hood has 8 early points on 3-4 shooting...Gordon Hayward has 9, a game-high so far
So far, Gordon Hayward is looking like Gordon Hayward...Has seven early
Wondering if there are thoughts on the Jazz' part on shutting Gordon Hayward down for the rest of the way
That last drive to the hole by Gordon Hayward told me one thing: Either he's flat out exhausted, or he's not healthy. Usually finishes that
Hayward 12 minutes, Favors 10 in 1st half. Jazz playing lots of combinations that have never been on floor and have 9 turnovers
Hayward/Favors played 22 minutes combined in that first half. Hayward is 1-2 from the field
Jazz starters: Exum, Hood, Hayward, Favors and Gobert.
Jazz stick with their usuals: Exum, Hood, Hayward, Favors & Gobert. Sacramento's five: McCallum, McLemore, Casspi, Landry and Thompson.
The Jazz will start Exum, Hood, Hayward, Favors and Gobert tonight against Sacramento
