Brian Hill Rumors
The Orlando Magic announced Friday their telecast schedule for all games in the 2013/14 season, with 81 regular-season games and one preseason game appearing on Fox Sports Florida. In addition, the team announced that it has added former Magic coach Brian Hill to its rotation of in-studio analysts. Hill, Nick Anderson, and Tony Battie will rotate in that capacity throughout the season, joining studio host Paul Kennedy.

Detroit Pistons head coach Lawrence Frank probably won’t be back for any of the four-game western trip that begins tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers, assistant coach Brian Hill said. Hill is acting as head coach in Frank’s absence.

The Detroit Pistons have completed their coaching staff. Brian Hill has agreed to be an assistant for new coach Lawrence Frank, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team hasn’t made an announcement. The rest of Frank’s staff includes former NBA players Roy Rogers and Dee Brown along with John Loyer. Hill was one of John Kuester’s assistants in Detroit. Hill led the Orlando Magic to the 1995 NBA finals and was the Vancouver Grizzlies’ first coach.
Kay Hill, wife of former Magic coach Brian Hill, happily reports that their daughter, Kim, is doing well after celebrating the sixth anniversary of her double-lung transplant. Suffering from cystic fibrosis, Kim was facing death until undergoing the procedure in October of 2004 in Chapel Hill, N.C.. The donor was a 30-year-old woman who died of a brain aneurysm shortly after walking into the hospital where Kim was a patient. “She’s doing so great, playing tennis and exercising and everything she wants to do,” said Kay, who attended the Magic-Pistons game last week. Brian is an assistant with Detroit under former Magic assistant John Kuester.
